  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I watched the VD Pilot episode a few days ago after a friend recommended it, and I loved it! I bought the Season 1 pass on I-Tunes, but I've only gotten to watch the first 3 episodes so far. Have you read the VD books?

I also love Twilight, although I definitely like the books more than the movies so far.

i absolutely love Vampire Diaries! the story is soo good. a lot of people say they stole it from twilight, but that is not true!! the vampire diaries books came out in the 90's, way before twilight. i've read the books, and their really good! they are very different from the series, but i like that because now i don't know what is going to happen
damon totally makes the show, he is the best.
Vampire Diaries is intens and surprising, and it is not 'just another vampire show'.together with pretty little liars it's the best show in the world!
and i'm sorry if my english isn't good, i'm from holland and i'm 15 years old

I'm sorry, but nothing like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries will ever compare to movies like The Insatiable ,Underworld or Ultraviolet. No books like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries will compare to Anne Rice and certainly nothing can compare to Bram Stokers Dracula.
