Yeah Im sure this will be like every other "official" random band thread and dissapear by the end of the week, but I want to officialy welcome KristianJ into the fan club.

So far there is FB and myself.

We are looking for the other Guster lovers out there. Cmon now, dont be shy... I know you are out there. And if not, I am willing to make sure you become a fan

So anyways, I sent Kristian their Live on Ice CD last night, and he quite enjoys them.

Woohoo!! Just being a missionary for good music!

horray for GUSTER!!
My favorite song is "all the way up to heaven" I just love it when they start whistling. Anyone see the MTV "cover" thing they did? They covered Violent Femmes songs, ( i think the whole ST album...) . From what I saw of it, it was pretty sweet
I first heard Guster in the movie "Life has a house"
On the soundtrack is "rainy day" and "what you wish for" there might have been a few others too.

Thats awesome! Wow I wonder how many other Guster fans are out there on this board that we dont know about?!?!

Josh...err FB got me into Guster last year and I feel inlove with them. Him and I are both really big fans.
I am totally addicted to their Live cd. As for my fav song by them, it kinda changes. Right now I love (Nothing but) FLowers... its only on the live cd, and its a cover of a Talking Heads song.

Anyways other then that All the way up to Heaven and oh man so many others

Amy have you listened to the Live cd? If not, we need to get it to you

Hey everyone. Well consider me a quasi-Guster fan!
Last year I went to see them in the city and the show was awesome! Especially the second set they did some good jamming.
The thing I like most about them is the bongo player. He is just absolutely amazing. And what impresses me so much is that his fingers start bleeding in the middle of every show because he hits those bongos so hard! (Check out the bandages in the picture on page 1). so yeah, Go Guster!

The DVD I have has a shot of him putting superglue on the previous night's cuts to keep them from bleeding

Anyways Josh got me into them a few months ago... oh probally almost a year ago by now. Anyways I always really liked them but it wasnt until this weekend, when I saw one of their live shows that I really truly appreciated them. The percussionist is amazing. His poor hands! At the end of the show it showed him icing his hands!!!
