There’s Growing Evidence That the Universe Is Connected by Giant Structures

These rotational patterns are all consistent with large scale Birkeland currents connecting all the various galaxies together.

It does seem likely that we'll learn to surf the currents of spacetime.

We'll probably need a glorified body suit...but, I think we may do a little traveling even now, without really perceiving it.

This is not a "non-standard" paper in a "non-standard" publication, it's a standard paper published in a well respected astronomy publication.
And where in this paper does it conclude this is consistent with Birkeland currents?
That is your conclusion not theirs.
Since you want to turn this into an electric universe "thing" the thread has been moved into this forum as the electric universe is classified as pseudoscience.

Right here in the opening abstract is where they conclude it's consistent with Birkeland currents:

For this mysterious coherence in large scales, we cautiously suggest a scenario in which it results from a possible relationship between the long-term motion of a large-scale structure and the rotations of galaxies in it.

That is a *direct prediction* of a Birkeland current, and it's a perfect description of a Birkeland current.

There's nothing "pseudo-scientific" about it. It's rather comical that you're peddling a cosmology model that defies the conservation laws of physics in two different ways, it is based upon 95 percent placeholder terms for human ignorance, and requires a non-standard particle physics model, and yet you have the utter audacity to refer to pure empirical physics as "pseudoscience", even when there is direct evidence to support it in published and peer reviewed material. Wow! What absolute gall.

Lee and his colleagues suggest that the synchronized galaxies may be embedded along the same large-scale structure, which is very slowly rotating in a counter-clockwise direction.

So essentially Lee suggests that galaxies are embedded in *rotating filaments* which are slowly rotating in a counter-clockwise direction, just as a Birkeland current model would predict and require, yet nothing of the sort has ever been "predicted" with the LCDM model, or any of the computer models which are based upon it.

It's bad enough that high redshift observations are constantly at odds with the galaxy evolution predictions of the LCDM model, but now we're seeing that even relatively "local" observations also defy any of the actual "predictions" of the LCDM model.

What does that tell us about the predictive value of the LCDM model of cosmology? It's scientifically useless.

But of course, this new observation is just the tip of the inter-connectivity iceberg that's been observed in recent years:

Not only are galaxies connected by rotating filaments (aka Birkeland currents) and connected together over tens of millions of light years, they're connected together over *billions* of light years!

The alignment of the quasars is also directly predicted in a Birkeland current model, whereas nothing of the sort is predicted by the LCDM model or any of the computer models associated with it.

But there's even more direct evidence of a large scale current driven process in space:

One of the most important discoveries that Birkeland made in his lab was the fact that a current sheet formed around the equator of the electrified bodies in his experiments and that current acted upon the plasma and moved it into a plane around the equator.

All three of these recent 'discoveries' defy the LCDM cosmology model, yet they are all perfectly congruent with, and predicted by a Birkeland current (electrical) model of the universe. Not only does EU/PC theory predict the existence of rotating "threads" and current "sheets", it's predicts their rotation patterns and the concentration of matter along the equatorial axis plane of galaxies. The quasars are simply aligned with the currents, and the satellite galaxies are moved toward the equatorial plane of various galaxies by those same currents.

Make no mistake about it, the LCMD model is a metaphysical house of cards and it's coming down right before our eyes. The LCDM model of cosmology is doomed as sure as Ptolemy was doomed. It's soon going to be replaced with a *purely empirical* theory of cosmology that doesn't require placeholder terms for human ignorance and that actually makes *useful predictions*. The predictive track record of the LCDM model over the past decade is absolutely abysmal, whereas a static universe model based upon electric universe concepts fits every new observation perfectly. Unlike the mostly metaphysical LCDM cosmology model, EU/PC models of cosmology are entirely consistent with the standard model of particle physics.

I'd have to say that the treatment of empirical physical cosmology models as being associated with 'pseudoscience' vs. the mostly (95 percent) metaphysical LCDM cosmology model being treated as "science" pretty clearly explains why we're still stuck in the literal "dark" ages of astronomy.

Somehow it's "fine" to associate those rotating "filaments" of spacetime with "dark matter", in spite of the multi-billion dollar failure of dark matter in the lab, but any association of those rotating filaments with "current" is ridiculed and condemned. Go figure. Its no wonder why we're still groping around in the dark, and stuck with placeholder terms for human ignorance to describe 95 percent of the universe.

Unfortunately Birkeland currents are not mentioned in the cited article.
There’s Growing Evidence That the Universe Is Connected by Giant Structures
What Birkeland currents are means they cannot cause these structures.
A Birkeland current is a set of currents that flow along geomagnetic field lines connecting the Earth's magnetosphere to the Earth's high latitude ionosphere.
Birkeland currents happen around planets with their planetary magnetic fields and orbiting a star to provide a solar wind. We have only detected them around Earth. We suspect they exist around other planets when they have magnetic fields. We have seen aurora on Jupiter and Saturn. Galaxies have different magnetic fields from planets and there is no equivalent of a solar wind.

The paper is mainstream astronomy and the abstract has a cautious suggestion that there is a relationship "between the long-term motion of a large-scale structure and the rotations of galaxies in it". That is likely gravitational forces changing the the large-scale structure and that in turn influencing the rotation of galaxies.

There are no galaxies connected by rotating filaments in the first quote.

What is very slowly rotating in a counter-clockwise direction is the large-scale structure in which the synchronized galaxies may be embedded. The entire structure is rotating.
Birkeland currents are not rotating filaments on galactic scales. They are currents in an ionosphere along a planetary magmatic field. The Wikipedia article has a image showing the path of the invisible currents (we had to put a spacecraft inside them to detect them).

The next quote is an alignment of 19 out of almost 100 supermassive black holes at the cores of quasars over bigger scales than these "weirdly synced up galaxies".
The discovery, which was published in the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics, is an indicator that large-scale structures influenced the dynamics of galaxies across vast distances in the early universe.
Note that these are cosmological large-scale structures at scales between 30 and 200 megaparsecs. These do have filaments of galaxies, etc. The paper by Lee and his colleagues is Mysterious Coherence in Several-megaparsec Scales between Galaxy Rotation and Neighbor Motion. These are not cosmological large-scale structures.

That looks like an artistic rendition of a supermassive black hole, maybe powering a quasar which is what the paper in this thread analyzes. That brings up another issue with this thread. The electric universe people tend to deny that actual black holes of any size exist! They rather believe in stories about plasmoids which are real plasma structures that we see in labs and on small scales.

Some plasmoids look like galaxies thus the speculative galaxy formation model of Winston H. Bostick in 1958. This was taken up by Anthony Peratt who did computer simulations in the mid 1980's and published a few papers stating they produced spiral and double lobed radio galaxies. The flaws were partially obviously then, and completely obvious now. Spiral galaxies do not have empty space between their arms as in his results. The density of stars is just lower between the arms. The reason the arms are prominent in images is that they are bright, star producing regions. We have known for some decades that double lobed radio galaxies are not double lobed! They are generally elliptical galaxies with the radio emitting lobes being jets from their supermassive black holes interacting with plasma outside of the galaxy.
