The New CF Singles Birthday Thread

The old one hasn't been updated in a while, so here's a new one.

It can be hard to remember everyone's birthdays and I want to be able to wish people happy birthday, and I'm sure some of you feel the same. So here's a list of the birthdays of members of Singles. If you want to be added to or removed from the list just ask me.

This looks fishy to me like your fishing for information online.

Scammers do this and use your information to rip you off so I would be carful asking for others personal information.

I've known Multifavs for over a year now, and can assure you she would never imagine doing anything like that. She's just a sweet and very friendly person, who is always looking to help / support fellow members, esp. now that birthday reminders have been removed.

However if anyone is uncomfortable, maybe they can just give the month and day, but not the year?

I'm not saying she is trying to scam any one.

But if your information is on here, any one can see it and use it also.

Its is just a reminder to why you need to not post your personal information online.

Thats great and nothing wrong with it but let me show you something.

Go to goggle and search for this
Singles Birthday Thread

and see how easy it is for scammers to get information.

Its a good idea to just post just the month and day.

Multifavs is an established person in the Singles community here and has been for quite some time. Literally not one person in the community here would suspect her of malicious intent. She's incredibly kind and does much for us.

I still stand by the fact that Singles threads showing up in the New Threads sidebar is cancerous to the community.

I would have thought not much. I really don't see how much a scammer could actually do with a day and month associated with a username - they would need to know a lot more before they'd be able to do anything malicious.
