Did Jesus not intend us to accept as a statement of fact that God is a spirit?

How then can the image of God in humanity be physical?

Let me ask you, did Jesus intend for us to accept that He, physical as He was, was indeed God?

What you seem to be unaware of is that in your statement here, you are subjecting God to limitations in how He makes Himself known.

There are physical traits that Jesus had the reflected God, who He is. Unless you are willing to deny this...

what specifically are these physical traits that reflect God?
what is the image of God in man, again be specific.

just to be fair.
i would answer these:
none of which are physical. although there are physical manifestions as in all knowing would be able to answer any question etc.

from: http://www.cprf.co.uk/articles/imageofgod.htm
none of which are physical either.

As far as I am aware Jesus was fully human in his humanity. He had no physical characteristic which is not common to all humanity.

Thomas did fall on his knees and said, "My Lord, My God" to Jesus.

As God and as Human. The Church has always held that the two confessions are equally important. To make Jesus only God is as much a heresy as to make him only Human.

But, you didn't answer the question. Denying that Jesus was human is to deny that He existed among us, died for us, and was raised from the dead.

So, did Jesus intend for His disciples to accept that He was indeed God?
