I dont necesarily agree with this. If I read a scripture I choose to believe it because I want to. It doesnt give 2 choices believe this or believe that. Just like if some one says something, they arent giving 2 choices, but many time I choose not to believe what they say.
We cannot step into a belief that we do not yet know or conceive of as an option for belief. If we don't know about something--we just don't know about it--it isn't yet available to us as something to ponder; potential for choice.
Of course, as far as the Word is concerned you have to hear it first to know about it.Thats why in Romans it says how shall they know unless someone is sent to preach to them? Thats why we are to spread the gospel. We are to preach the GOOD news- Jesus saves , heals the sick, delivers, provides etc . Then they have the choice to believe or not believe

I do not think we should go around using blanket statements such as you arent healed because you sinned or you dont have faith. IMO that is judgemental. We are to put aside childish ways and mature in the fruit of the Spirit in our attitudes and how we say things to others.
I realize this is just an example you are using but since you mentioned it, and it's bought up so often, I believe this issue needs to be addressed. I have not seen any one address it so I guess will have to. There are MANY hinderances and reasons a person may not receive healing and this IS one of them. However, if it turned out that was the problem, there is a right way to say something with Agape love, and also a wrong way, which is a condemning, judgemental way. It would not be loving to let them go on in their sinful way and remain sick, continuing in sin. But it would be more loving for them to realize to repent of sin is the most important thing, then as a result, they could be healed. This has happened in many cases and attitudes were involved, and most often was unforgiveness. When they repented they were immediately healed. But others who would not change their attitudes or said they no they REFUSE to forgive, died, and some soon afterwards.
But I say again we do NOT go around accusing them , and much of this sort of thing is suspicion, not a word of knowledge.
If the Lord truly reveals this, or in counseling this comes out, presenting the word of God in a RIGHT, loving attitude many times helps them realize their error.
