The Mark...666

Hey...just a funny thought I had just now.. If the Mark of the Beast soon to come has an encryptic number of 666 in it that is obvious to all, wouldn't people notice it? I mean, almost everybody knows about the legendary number of the beast's name.
It's a scarlet mystery, how a number could be linked with a name. Satan would lose a lot of people if the number were obvious, right?
But then again, how are we supposed to know how the 666 is represented?

Everybody sees Israel has been reformed after several eons too. You don't see anyone getting excited over it, except the Philistines.

I guess you have a point. I reckon folks would regard the number as a mere coincedence, if it proves to be an obvious one.

People will accept almost anything these days, regardless of countless warnings. Things a lot more obvious than the Mark of the Best

I agree with Anthony. I believe that everyone will know the number of the beast. I just think that a majority of people will accept it anyway. Unless you accept the number, life will be very hard for you. I think many people will accept the number/mark inorder to maintain a certain quality of life.

The number 666 is mans number. The U.N.'s resolution 666 is the number they gave mankind and has to do with trading and selling with Iraq. I'm not sure that 666 will actually be obvious or people will just start to appear out of nowhere with that number branded on them. Actually I'm pretty sure now that I think about it that it wont necessarily have to be a literal 666 tatoo or micro chip with 666 on it, but the mark is only used in regards to buying selling trading etc. so who's to say that the mark of the beast HAS to have 666 on it, it only says that the number 666 is mans number and maybe what will happen is we will (or whoever) have to have some kind of identification (and permission) from the government to buy food, work and collect a paycheck, whatever else financially we need to do. I believe it will come down to something like everyone will need to be branded by the government sometime in the future so the government can keep track of terrorists. Most everyone would be for that.

the number 6 is mans number (some eg. reasons: Man was made on the 6th day, the mark of the beast = 666, etc.)

the number 7 is perfection God's number (one eg. reason: God rested on the 7th day)

the number 8 is the new beginning - Jesus (I can't remember why now)

that's what I heard on the preaching about the 'Anti-Christ and The Coming World Government' on a video from 1988! (preached by Barry Smith from New Zealand)

I've also heard that if you add up the word COMPUTER, it adds up to 666 too! (C = 3, O = 15, etc.)

That's very interesting. My friend said the same thing about the computer. Wonder what the Beast has to do with computers, though? Well, we know computers are taking over the world. Maybe the Mark is a microchip!

A computer seems to be the easiest way to keep track of vast amounts of info. A computer also handles the great numbers more efficently.

Again, we are speculating as to what the Mark of the Beast will be....the Bible is not clear.. we can guess all we want... however it is pointless.

When the time comes.. if you are walking in the Spirit... God will help you discern what is truth and what is not.

Well, this is one thing i can actually comment on.. yea!

The mark of the beast, it will problly be the chip, it alredy has started, they are saying its for healthcare ppl. Thats how they make it look alright. The 666 thing, well i didnt even know about the mark of the beast till a few months ago, and im 20 years old. So meny ppl dont believe in jesus or god anymore that they dont read the bible or listen to the storys! And i believe that , that in its self is the work of the devil, he is definatly taking ppl away from religion. And I am truley scared for them all. Cause the end of times dont look all that promising. I am very happy that i have been saved, and believe now, i cant even imagine not beliving in jesus any more. Or even that hes the son of god. Back to what i was saying about the 666, do you all know that any bar code on anything, food , clothes, everything, it has 666 on it. you can look it up, its true. each bar represents a number in a computer, and the 2 end bars and middle bar are all 3 the same number, 6. The guy that made the bar code says he didnt even realize that it was 6. So really when the beast comes, most ppl may not even realize it is the beast, cause we are sorunded with that number. I mean come on ppl go out and get 666 tattoed on them as a joke.
Thats just a few of my thoughts.
