Your calming presence is appreciated.I can be calm. I knew all along that my candidate would lose. No surprise there. No shock.
Wow. So you've had some training for this!I doubt it's going to be anything worse than what we've already seen and experienced.
I was working in Seattle during the 2020 riots. Between that and the pandemic, there certainly was an end times feeling.
My training consisted of finding alternate routes into work because of all the roadblocks.Wow. So you've had some training for this!
I, too, hope you're right and that things won't be any worse.
It's encouraging to think that they won't be, and I'll sure take that encouragement!
Judging by the magnitude of their defeat by Trump, you may not see another Dem in the white house for at least the next 12 years! Trump...Vance...Vance...maybe later Baron Trump (his IQ is 170+)Not much sense talking to them at the moment until they calm down, if they ever do. They are going off at Republicans and independents and former Democrats and even turning on each other. It's a Party in collapse. I can only hope. And hope something better comes out of the ashes of that house fire.
Lol that kid is like a nightmare for the dems. 6'9", handsome, and a genius. He came up with good strategy that helped his dad win the election.Judging by the magnitude of their defeat by Trump, you may not see another Dem in the white house for at least the next 12 years! Even though I voted for Harris I disagreed with her on abortion, LGBTQ, and IF she really was for surgically changing transgender children I strongly disagree with her on that. The main reason I voted for her was because I detest Trump. If we‘d had some other Republican running, I would’ve probably voted Republican. It's not just that Trump won, it's that radical liberalism was soundly defeated. The American people finally said "we're tired of this nonsense".
I chose Trump because he's liberalism kryptonite. I haven't always been anti-liberalism. But in my opinion it's become too increasingly radical.Even though I voted for Harris I disagreed with her on abortion, LGBTQ, and IF she really was for surgically changing transgender children I strongly disagree with her on that. The main reason I voted for her was because I detest Trump. If we‘d had some other Republican running, I would’ve probably voted Republican.
I hope that the Democrat Party splits. One branch could be composed of the moderate centrists, and the (hopefully much smaller) branch would be the far left, radical lunatic fringe that's been running the party for at least the last twenty years. Not much sense talking to them at the moment until they calm down, if they ever do. They are just now moving beyond simple shock at their loss to abject rage. Here is where the violence begins.
traditional blue dogs and progressivesI hope that the Democrat Party splits. One branch could be composed of the moderate centrists, and the (hopefully much smaller) branch would be the far left, radical lunatic fringe that's been running the party for at least the last twenty years.
Of course, I'd much rather see it disintegrate and go out of existence, but lacking that much luck, I could live with the above scenario.

(Just for the record, I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Michigan Militia. The above picture is just for funsies.)
IMO hating Trump is no reason to vote for Harris...Even though I voted for Harris I disagreed with her on abortion, LGBTQ, and IF she really was for surgically changing transgender children I strongly disagree with her on that. The main reason I voted for her was because I detest Trump. If we‘d had some other Republican running, I would’ve probably voted Republican.
But I think alot of people did do that, and I guess I can understand it.IMO hating Trump is no reason to vote for Harris...
Radicals as in the new black panther party that was using BLM protests as a sock puppet? If they don't split away from the radicals, they're doomed as a party.
The woke parts of the Party have been using and abusing Labor and racial minorities for a long time. Back in my union days and my Republican days too I let it be known that I thought the Republicans should make room for working people and that working people would eventually realize that the Democrats were just using them to promote their evil agenda. If they don't split away from the radicals, they're doomed as a party.
There is a great divide between the two parties ... the dissension will continue ... also there are "democratic plants" (sometimes called RINO's) in the republican party .... it's going to be a uphill battle on some things ... however I am confident that Trump will be able to accomplish many things during his presidency that will be good for the country.OPINION
Even with a clean sweep of the White House, including both Houses of Congress and a Supreme Court firmly committed to the rule of law, will a Trump victory make any real difference in the end if the Democrats refuse to go along with the results?
We won! Yes, we won! A thousand points! Couldn’t you just die laughing? We came in first! We get to take the tank home! We won!
—Last lines from Life Is Beautiful by Roberto Benigni
Not since the heady days of George McGovern, whose capture of the Democratic Party in 1972 ended in utter ignominy with the Nixon landslide, have two political parties been as deeply and bitterly divided as they were in this latest election, which ended on a clear if unexpected note of triumph for Donald J. Trump. Breaching the Blue Wall by the early hours of November 6 and then smashing his way to a complete conquest of the popular vote, a free and fair election has thus catapulted him to become the next president of the United States.
What an astonishment it proved to be. My wife and I went to bed the night before glumly aware that only bad news would greet us the following day. But like the little boy in that magical movie who, thanks to a father’s sacrificial love, gets to take the tank home, we nearly died laughing for all the joy we felt on hearing the news.
But even with a clean sweep of the White House, including both Houses of Congress and a Supreme Court firmly committed to the rule of law, will a Trump victory make any real difference in the end if the Democrats refuse to go along with the results?

I agree. I think he will surprise us all. There is a great divide between the two parties ... the dissension will continue ... also there are "democratic plants" (sometimes called RINO's) in the republican party .... it's going to be a uphill battle on some things ... however I am confident that Trump will be able to accomplish many things during his presidency that will be good for the country.
I think a lot of the woke hordes methodology is simply Marxist. They swing the pendulum to the Left BUT they ALSO capitalize on the pendulum swinging back. They want bigger and bigger pendulum swings, leading to the overthrow of the center. Which is why at all costs we should want not pendulum swings but corrections while damping down the pendulum. There is a great divide between the two parties ... the dissension will continue ... also there are "democratic plants" (sometimes called RINO's) in the republican party .... it's going to be a uphill battle on some things ... however I am confident that Trump will be able to accomplish many things during his presidency that will be good for the country.
I quite agree. If they don't split away from the radicals, they're doomed as a party.
More or less, yeah.Radicals as in the new black panther party that was using BLM protests as a sock puppet?
Well said, sir.I think a lot of the woke hordes methodology is simply Marxist. They swing the pendulum to the Left BUT they ALSO capitalize on the pendulum swinging back. They want bigger and bigger pendulum swings, leading to the overthrow of the center. Which is why at all costs we should want not pendulum swings but corrections while damping down the pendulum.
So why it might be tempting to swing that pendulum way back now, but the wokists want that too, and to push the pendulum even higher so it eventually whips back in their favor even harder and higher. Let's correct by all means the errors of the woke hordes, but also damp things down. Clean out the institutions
More important than pushing a pendulum is to get our families right, after getting ourselves right with Jesus.
