If you beat the games on Normal in These Versions it unlocks Hard mode! in Hard mode When you defeat any enemy it leaves No power ups behind there ARE NO weapon power ups to recharge a weapon And there are No Energy Tanks And No extra lives! i recently completed Rockman 2 on Normal and unlock Hard mode! it is Definitely a challenge! I haven't completed it On Hard Mode !Mega Man 2 (NES); without dying. I got through a few of the stages/bosses without getting hit.
