I think that everyone faces daily things that need to be dealt with but when it's looked at "as a whole weekend" it looks enormous, when really probably worser? things happen daily. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof. I like the unknown cause then I'm not turning each worsecase seniorio over in my head, I just plug along and let things run off my back like water on a duck. Did I say "duck" well,
Praying for your weekend, but don't give "it" any more thought, and you won't give "it" power.

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask that you bless FoundinGrace with grace! That You fill her with Your love and grace. Let her see her family thru Your eyes and show her how to love them like You do. Make her day exciting as she interacts with her family. Give her favor with her family members as well, Lord, so that they treat her as the wonderful child of God that she is! Lord, we pray for peace over that family. A warm weekend, filled with love and joy. Guard everyones mouths so that they only speak words of life and love to each other. Thank you, Father, for FoundinGrace. Bless her feet as she walks with You. Bless her hands as she does Your work. Bless her mouth that she speaks love and encouragement and life and light. Bless her eyes that she sees Your beauty in everything. Bless her ears that she hears light and life and love.

Hey, don't worry about how much you're here. You're here enough!

That can be a real challenge, something that does require prayer. I will pray, but make sure you're doing your own praying too....and it wouldn't hurt to be equipped with the Word concerning relationships. Personally, if it were me, I would go over 1 Cor. 13 again, and meditate awhile in it. I would also pick out the ones that boost my faith real high. And keep your Bible handy at all times!

Ask the Lord what you need to be thinking on, and to prepare you for what you will face. Actually, do this first. If you've received the Holy Spirit, pray in other tongues over it. He'll have you totally prepared for whatever you may face. It's worth whatever time it takes to be ready.

Oh...please don't ever hesitate to ask for prayer about anything. That's part of fellowshipping together, whether you are here every day or once a year...does not matter. I'll ge thinking about you and praying for you over the weekend. In the meantime...

Lord, I pray that You will prepare FoundInGod for the upcoming weekend. Give her Your strength to deal with whatever comes her way. Remind her that in You all things are possible and that You are with her every step of the way. In Jesus name, Amen.

sigh.. oh yeah..im gonna be sharing my testimony with my cel group tomoro. and im worried that it would be too long. im worried that i may be doing it for selfish purposes so that they will think things like "oh shes such a strong Christian" UGH. i dont know what to do! should i share my testimony in that case? what if i really want glory for myself? that would be intolerable!

Hi bg! Good for you, for being brave enough to write your post.

Our sexuality is part of how God made us. If he didn't, the human race would've died out ages ago! God's not silly!! So he gave us this drive, a need for sex. Perfectly straight forward, really!

The modern world has now released females to be able to feel this need much more than say, 50 or 100 years ago. So it's a new day for this, as it were, and thus no longer can we really talk of 'I'm not a guy, I'm a girl'. The sex drive is NORMAL, not abnormal.

Having said all that, there can be an over-focus on sex, both for males and females. This 'going a bit too far' and getting kind of obsessed with it, is not normal. I've no idea whatever where you are in this regard - only you can assess this. Just realise that it's most important to recognise that our God-given desire for sex is NOT disgusting, nor is it abnormal - then pray to Him to reveal to you by the Holy Spirit where you stand on this matter.

If I remember correctly Amanda and I have already agreed that we are 'assessment' type people, who are always trying to figure things out, and for personal things we reckoned we analyse too much! I sure used to - Beloved will tell you I was a terror with this!

But you can analyse a thing to death, and when you're finished what you may well have is simly confusion and uncertainty! Sounds like you've got that!


SUGGESTION: Try to relax your mind, calm it down, and be at rest. Then try and stand back from yourself and your feelings for a bit, and while you're there say, "Lord, please help me to see what YOU are seeing!"

You can bet your bottom dollar that He's not confused, or uncertain, or stressed. He's always at REST God is - never racing round, never concerned and flummoxed!
Okay then, He's in charge, and He's your God, and He lives in you - so you can be RELAXED and at rest too!
