  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone had the scriptures just emanate holiness from it while reading?.
the holy scriptures must truly be a sacred text that proceeded out of the mouth of God.
As men were inspired by the Holy Ghost...

I was conversating with an unbeliever once at church and came to the realization that being born again is much like Plato's cave -- so much so, in fact, that I came to the realization that beginning and going through this Christian walk is a "cave" of it's own-- being born unto life in faith while surrounded in the flesh by things which are perishing. After being encouraged by two members older than me, I came home and opened my Bible at random. And where do you suppose I open to but the raising of Lazarus, where Christ called him out of the cave. This got me on my knees.
