My copy of this book by Ellen G. White arrived yesterday and I have begun reading it.

It is very good and I can't put it down. I am reading it through once, then I will sit down with it and re-read it, checking the Bible references used, and making notes.

Thanks for the recommendation of this great book!

It was the first EG White book I read as well... this book lays out perfectly the history of the church, in the past and into the future.

Desire of Ages is another powerful book (actually, I don't think you'll find an EG White book thats not). It recounts the life and ministry of Christ in beautiful and vivid detail.

The Great Controversy is also the first book I have read by EG White..We have the same experience Shrew the first time I read it I cant put it down, all day long I wan to read it BTW I have already finished reading it twice

While your Desire of Ages hasnt arrive yet, you can read it in our New Adventist/Bible Study sub-forum..

Thanks! I am up to The Ascension of Christ and really loving the book. I particularly like the insights into how the angels looked on and felt, and also how satan and the demons felt so angry as Christ did exactly what He set out to do.

The great thing about these books is the insight given so that we can really come to an understanding about how this entire thing is about Christ. There is so much that the other churches are missing in my opinion, and many questions that they have that could be answered if they accepted the testimony of Sr White.
