Well here we are again, Paul Davies and Vilenkin and others say we do know and there is nothing there. So we can make a meaningful statement...there was nothing prior to the Big Bang.Right, because anything that existed prior to the big bang is outside our time line and has no causal relationship to us. We can make no meaningful statement about what came before because for our time line, there was no before. Please note the qualifier there, "for our timeline"
Before time there is no time. I agree. There is nothing. No, hawking, for example, says there was no before, and quite possibly, no singularity, but rather an initial state unbounded in both space and time. The word "then" implies a before, which, at least for our timeline, did not exist. It's like saying, "there's nothing in the box" when everyone else is telling you there is no box.
There are those who have God revealed to them and others that have not. Its not so much the tools but revelation. And some others of the greatest minds have concluded that there isn't. And others still have concluded that there's many involved. That's a hint that the question isn't particularly well formed, or maybe the tools they're using to come to a conclusion are lacking.

It was a response to what another poster posted. Do you actually read what is being said in the thread? If this conclusion has nothing to do with the intelligence of the people who believe it, why bring it up?
Also, citation needed that revelation from god(s) actually happens.
Oh come on, there are millions of people who have had this revelation. If this conclusion has nothing to do with the intelligence of the people who believe it, why bring it up?

Millions of people have had religious revelations. The vast majority of them contradict each other. Your point?Oh come on, there are millions of people who have had this revelation.
It was a response to another poster. That is the answer. Can't come up with an answer? Pretend other people have reading comprehension problems!
In your opinion.Millions of people have had religious revelations. The vast majority of them contradict each other. Your point?
Is it your opinion that the revelation of Muslims are perfectly consistent with your own?In your opinion.
I was afraid this would take us off topic. Is it your opinion that the revelation of Muslims are perfectly consistent with your own?
Individual christian revelations also vary quite a bit if the 30 plus thousand denominations are to be believed. But it is off topic, I agree.I was afraid this would take us off topic.I was not talking about other religions, I was talking about the millions of Christian's and their revelations. However, Muslims do not believe that Allah has a direct and personal revelation with them but that their relationship is totally based in the Quran.
All Christian denominations have one core, Jesus Christian lived was crucified and rose again, dying for all sins. So back on topic?Individual christian revelations also vary quite a bit if the 30 plus thousand denominations are to be believed. But it is off topic, I agree.

That concept doesn't even make sense in our understanding of physics. there is no "general" reference frame. No with time in general.
