  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There is no such thing as "drawing board type of science". You are making stuff up. Is that what christians are called to do, make stuff up?
Not today because they do all their planning on the computer. I am talking back when they did things on paper. It's just an old term. Of course when I was in college a computer was the size of a room. You had to punch holes in a piece of paper to feed information into the computer. So back then we still had drawing boards and still drafted our plans on paper.

A perfect description of what you have been doing in this thread, trying to misrepresent a theory you don't like.
Sounds more like your trying to misrepresent me.

Completely irrelevant.

The theory of evolution is not on some drawing board. When we refuse to kill people with a genetic marker it doesn't mean that we have rejected the theory of evolution, or that it is still on the drawing board. All you are doing is throwing mud at a theory you don't like, and it makes you look foolish.

I'm not. You actually think that linking Hitler to the theory of evolution will somehow invalidate the theory. That is a complete misrepresentation of how the accuracy of science is determined. It is only something someone with a forked tongue would do.

Cognitive dissonance anyone?
Yep, you guys have me confused back tracking and running around in circles the way you do. None of this defends your position. It is all a smoke screen. Let me help you out here. The point your trying to defend is that Darwin was a racist. Some say yes, some say no. The defense for Darwin is that people claim he did not make racist statements. Yet all the known racists including Hitler based their supremacist beliefs on Darwin's theory. The sub title of his book was: "Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life." Just saying there is a "favoured race" is racism in and of itself. Just suggesting that there is a struggle between races is racism. My son is biracial and the funny thing is he claims that NO one has ever guessed what race he is. They make lots of guesses at what his race might be, but they do not ever get it right. Back in Darwin's day they might have believed that there was a "favoured race" but today science does not even believe that races exist. So according to science Darwin's book is a myth. Maybe that is why evolutionists go around calling everything a myth, because Darwin's theory is a myth.

"In 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued a statement asserting that all humans belong to the same species and that “race” is not a biological reality but a myth. This was a summary of the findings of an international panel of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists.

A great deal of evidence had accumulated by that time to support this conclusion, and the scientists involved were those who were conducting research and were most knowledgeable about the topic of human variation. "

Could be a language barrier issue. That seems to be the root of threads that get this bizarre.
Like I said when the Evolutionists can not defend their pet theory then they start running around in circles and trying to create a smoke screen to hide the fact that they have failed to defend their beloved theory.

I think Dunning-Kruger has a lot to do with it. People who are considered smart within their own little backwoods echo chambers, but actually have no idea what they're talking about and double down trying to defend their made up ad hoc gibberish instead of admitting "hey, well actually maybe these people are better informed than me!"

And further proof that you know nothing about evolution.
On The Origin of Species, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, says NOTHING about one race being superior to another. It does not promote racism, IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM!
You're reading something that is not there. It's like the Neolithic Revolution thread all over again.

In this Country, most White Supremacists and members of KKK are Christians who do not believe in evolution. They attack Jews, blacks and homosexuals based on their Christian beliefs, not on anything Darwin may or may not have said or believed.

Martin Luther, founder of Protestantism, wrote about Jews. His writings were often quoted by Hitler as he persuaded German Christians to kill Jews:
First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians, and do not condone or knowingly tolerate such public lying, cursing, and blaspheming of his Son and of his Christians.
