What is involved in developing the fruits or gifts of the Spirit...?And when you aren't trying to deliberately pull somebody's chain, you can convey some sense when you talk about the Spirit. Developing the fruit of the Spirit is the key to not sinning. You know that, so say it.
You see, people who say they don't commit sin, cannot live up to such statements. I have decades of experience of this in churches where people inferred it. Even family members who inferred it. They excuse the sin they do commit as no sin at all. They justify their sin!And when you aren't trying to deliberately pull somebody's chain, you can convey some sense when you talk about the Spirit. What do you think would have happened to Judas' soul if he had not killed himself? It seems to me he repented; he gave back the money. Could his sin have been forgiven?
Your wrong about Judas. He is the son of perdition in that verse.
Developing the fruit of the Spirit is the key to not sinning.
He became a traitor; he became a son of perdition.
He was a faithful disciple for 3 1/2 years, the was promoted to an apostle, then he became a traitor.
He was the one thing, then became the other.
That's the lesson, we are to learn from his example:
- Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12
- And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. Matthew 24:4

- Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. Luke 11:35
Next time please include gifs if funny meme's for my personal entertainment while you guys beef.Actually since he likes to post the same thing over and over and ask the same questions over and over, I figured he would like the same treatment. I thought doing that on all one page would be more convenient then spreading it out over numerous posts.
Ok, I will say it. The more you look to Christ and trust in him to change you through the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing he is your righteousness before God, the more the fruits of the Spirit grow in your life( gal5:22) the fruits of the Spirit are the embodiment of how God wants you to live, therefore against that fruit there is no law( verse23). For that fruit will not bring you into conflict with the good and holy laws of God.And when you aren't trying to deliberately pull somebody's chain, you can convey some sense when you talk about the Spirit. They justify their sin!
"You and many others ignore that underlying truth,"
What did King David ultimately rely on?
I trust in God's unfailing love forever and ever.
You and others ignore that unfailing love.
Perform nigh on perfect or you are in dangers of the fires of hell. That is not a message of a loving God.
And so, the overwhelming majority of people who go to your kind of Churches that espouse this teaching come from loving, secure backgrounds. They are then far more likely to come from the more affluent, intellectually gifted half of society, and statistically speaking they are far less likely to suffer from smoking, having extra marital affairs, drinking excessively or using foul language( though not always is this the case).
They then convince themselves they don't commit sin based on a very shallow understanding of what sin actually is.
And so, a hugely untapped market, mostly( not always) gets shut out of the kingdom. People in desperate need, their lives are in desperate straits. But however desperate they are they would never dream of turning to God, for they believe what you preach is the truth.
Perform nigh on perfect or God will either threaten you will hell or cast you into hell.
To add to my previous post( so as not to make it too long). The believers who live under the law of sin and death( those who say if you commit a sin you cannot be born again/saved) cannot themselves cease sin. For Christians are not preprogrammed robots who always perfectly follow the manual. What must these people do who commit sin but believe they cannot be a Christian if they do so?And when you aren't trying to deliberately pull somebody's chain, you can convey some sense when you talk about the Spirit. The belief that if you commit a sin you are in danger of being thrown into the fires of hell until you quickly repent, is most prevelent in the RC church and amongst Pentecostals and certain charismatic churches
You see, people who say they don't commit sin, cannot live up to such statements.

You see to preach a message of:
Perform perfect or God will threaten you with hell is to neglect the love of God. That is the message the Pharisees preached. And they neglected the love of God( luke11:42)
The underlying truth concerning the literal letter is of God's love, mercy and compassion to his children, those he loves. You and many others ignore that underlying truth, as the Pharisees did and just preach the letter, and without that underlying truth, no one can or will attain heaven.

Stuart, I've heard you talk about the laws on your heart. Who put them there? The Spirit, that's who. Those are the laws of the Spirit of life in Christ, to love God with all your heart, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself. They are NOT the Old Covenant laws of sin and death.
But why do they seem the same? Thou shalt not kill? Love prevents that in your new nature. Thou shalt not steal? Self-control prevents that in your new nature. Thou shalt not commit adultery? Faithfulness prevents that in your new nature. Thou shalt not covet? Peace and contentment prevents that in your new nature. Thou shalt not lie? Kindness prevents that in your new nature. Honor your parents? Longsuffering and gentleness takes care of them for as long as they live. Believing in the name of Jesus Christ? Joy unspeakable!
Whatever you wouldn't want done to yourself, you do to others.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Those who have to STRIVE to be all the above, don't have the law of the Spirit of life in Christ, they are still trying to keep the law of sin and death in THEIR OWN strength. Their carnal nature makes it hard.
Because he gave back the money, being filled with guilt, doesn't mean he went to Jesus, and repented.
Being filled with guilt doesn't mean we are forgiven.
Guilt is the mechanism by which we turn to God and confess our sin and are forgiven.
Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Luke 17:1-4
- if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
The principal of being forgiven: return to the Lord, repent, confess and be forgiven.
- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Judas never returned to the Lord, and repented.
