Peter states to Cornelius that Jesus rose on the third day. He may not have been a witness to the event but he had 40 days to learn the truth from the one person who was.
Jesus was witness to His own resurrection.Very good. Thank you for conceding on that critical point.
There are no known witnesses to when Yahshua was raised.
Except that Jesus taught His disciples for 40 days after His resurrection. That means that there are no known witnesses to refute the timetable on which Yahshua said he would be raised, 3 days, and 3 nights.
On the third day, repeated at least 10 times in the GospelsWe'll just have to take Yahshua at his own word, as to when he said that he would be raised.
Nope. That has Jesus rising on the fourth dayIf you look at post #468; you'll see that it's quite possible that Peter was in complete agreement with what Yahshua himself said.

Yes hark, He rose on the third day and not after the third day.Very good. Thank you for conceding on that critical point.

Are you trying to claim that Young's translation, is saying that Jesus rose on the Sabbath day. I hope your not trying to do that Hark. You would find that you would be wrong.Young's Literal Translation
And on the first of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bearing the spices they made ready, and certain others with them,
Young's Literal Translation
And on the first of the sabbaths, Mary the Magdalene doth come early (there being yet darkness) to the tomb, and she seeth the stone having been taken away out of the tomb,
Would you like to double down with an argumentum ad populum?
Which sign are you referring to. Jesus said also, on the third day, and in three days. Your trying to fixate on just one of the descriptions in Matthew. How is that an exception to Yahshua's testimony of his sign?

Here is the most frequent statement that Jesus made and recorded by all the gospels.
John 2:19
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
In three days, the very words of Jesus.
Nope. That has Jesus rising on the fourth day
Yes hark, He rose on the third day and not after the third day.
Matthew 16:21
From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.
Matthew 17:23
And they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day. And they were deeply grieved.
Matthew 20:19
And will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.
NOT AFTER THE THIRD DAY!
No, because the Jews count inclusively. The day on which He was crucified is the 1st day, so you have Him rising on the 4th day.It has him being risen on the third day after his death.
That isn't how the Jews counted days. How would you calculate three days from now?
I give you a hint. Tomorrow is 1 day away from today. Two days from now includes, tomorrow.
The next step is as easy as 1,2,3.
That isn't how the Jews counted days.
So according to you, the women were violating the sabbath by coming to annoint His body on that day?Young's Literal Translation

Modern Jews do not count in the same manner as their predecessors. They now have the concept of "zero" in their counting which their predecessors did not. This is the perfect day to have this discussion.
It's the first day of the week.
If I say that I will see you today; then I will see you on the first day of the week.
If I say that I will see you tomorrow; then I will see you on the second day of the week.
If I say that I will see you in two days; then I will see you on the 3rd day of the week.
If I say that I will see you in 3 days; then I will see you on the fourth day of the week.
I have many Jewish friends who I have made plans with over the course of many decades. We've never had a problem with communication in this respect.
Now the onus is on you to come up with a credible, verifiable, source to support your claim.
