You are welcome.

p.s. if you didn't want people knowing your real name you should not have posted it.
You put it in a thread with characters from a different language.
People can copy and paste what you put into google and it will translate it.

You are right.

That's a big ol' "Ooops!", isn't it Doug?

Choosing joy reminds me of David in 1 Samuel 30.
He and his men had just gotten back from a battle only to find that the Amalekites had taken everything including
there wives and children. David's men were ready to stone him.
But David encouraged himself in the LORD and then he and his men went and destroyed the Amalekites and recovered everything.
One of David's worst moments became a great victory because he chose not to stay sad.

Ironically im faced with depression at this moment. Things trigger it, like a comment someone made for example. The worst things are those that remind you of your past.

This was kind of funny in church this morning.
I go to a small church, and we all pretty much sit in the same seats week after week.
Every once in awhile we have what is called "Song Sunday" where the congregation gets to pick what songs we sing.
Well, the people on the left side of the church rarely have a song ready for the songleader.
But on the right side where I normally sit, many people have a song ready.
so on the way in to church this morning I said to myself, "The next time we have song Sunday I am going to sit on the left side.
I walk in and there is the notice that today is song Sunday.
So I sat on the left side and at least 5 people came up to me and commented on the fact that I had switched.
I got a good laugh out of that.
So I start thinking what songs I am going to say. The first one thought of was "Victory in Jesus" and the thought came to me that I should pick something else, so I did.
Then the leader asked the people on the right for a song and the first one that was announced was Victory in Jesus.

You think God isn't concerned with every detail in our life?

Without the Lord i have no hope, none. I will praise the Lord that He gives me life, purpose and redemption.
Without the LORD we have nothing. We are nothing, And life has no meaning.
With the LORD we have everything.
We have peace through Jesus Christ.
We have been made heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.
And we can do all things through Christ.
Remember Joseph, he was put on the slave block. But the Scripture says he was prosperous because the LORD was with him.

All of these verses use the same Hebrew word. H3559
Notice the things that can happen when we fix or establish our hearts on God.
Notice the things that happen when we don't fix or prepare our hearts..
directed Ps 119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
directeth Prov 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
fixed Ps 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
fixed Ps 108:1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
fixed Ps 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
prepared 2 Chr 12:14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
prepared 2 Chr 20:33 Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
prepared 2 Chr 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
prepared 2 Chr 29:36 And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.

I like the statements during that song.
The one that says
God never spoke to me.

Then at the end the question is asked

Can you hear me now?

God has always been speaking to us. We just tend to drown Him out.

Interesting, thank you.
