Gracie is just asking for advice. We can all give our own versions of the "correct" or "proper" thing to do, but at the end of the day it's still her life and her choice. Who are we to shove down her throat our "suggestions" anyway?
We don't even know each other in real life.
So just CHILL people.
Who cares? She does. And I'm sure other people in the class, as well as the Prof, do too.A
Who cares? I remember I just let a guy look at the answers I wrote because he didn't understand it. Who cares? Lol and what she did I did with history class, so bori.g, I wrote it on a paper which I layed underneath the other paper. So glad he didn't notice and with English words, why do I have to learn all that? You forget it the next week anyway.
That's different. If she's in her last year to become a surgeon and does it all the time so people's lifes would be in danger it would be better to tell it.
This is about a quiz in a music class, lol. Oh that makes me think of my uncle, he's a music professor in the States. If she'd tell him he couldn't care less.Frits De Jonge at University of South Carolina - RateMyProfessors.com Give her a tip to go to him, she'll get her diploma without doing anything.
"This is the best and easiest class ever. I hate music and he made me like it. He is very quiet but he likes to makes dirty jokes. We walked in to take the finals and just gave us all A's. No test or anything. If you can't pass this class with an A, then you must be stupid because it was SOO easy"
"You can be brain dead and make an A in this class, rarley takes attendance and you mainly watch movies and write critiques he does not even read. Easy easy A"
If you care about it warn her or pray for her. My uncle is funny, my dad is the opposite, he was also a teacher. Here in Holland we get taught as kids that squeking is the worst thing you can do, worse than cheating. We have a kid's song about it. I guess it depends how you were raised.Who cares? She does. And I'm sure other people in the class, as well as the Prof, do too.
Just because it's a quiz in a music class doesn't make it any less important. Cheating in a music class is no different than cheating in a class in med school. Cheating is cheating. One doesn't need to do it "all the time" either to make it bad, one time is too many. If she can cheat in a music class knowing she will get away (and right now she has gotten away), most likely she will cheat in any other class (or the same class) in the future knowing she would get away.
If someone goes to a Prof. that someone cheated and they couldn't care less then something is seriously wrong.
Since there are no witnesses other than yourself I suggest doing it like this.
Go to her and let her know what you seen and ask her if she needs help with the subject. Let her answer be the end of the drama.
Who really cares anyway, I cheated my way through half of college. People have to do what they have to do in order to survive.
Not everybody has good studying habits and they have to get by as they know best to do so.
Is it fair that God gave some people great memories and high IQ's so they do not have to study all the time.
Heck, I had one teacher that passed me only so she did not have to deal with me twice.
Can you blame a starving man for stealing food? NO you cant! Then why can you blame a dumb person for cheating to make it?
25% of our final grade is homework and quizzes and this is one of six quizzes. I don't know what the homework - quiz distribution is but he basically gives us full credit for homework if we do it reasonably. So, I think that this quiz was probably something like 2-3% of our final grade. It's a quiz. Chances are it carries no weight anyway.
This is what I would do if I felt the need to say something. I personally would only bother if the teacher implements a curve, though, or if I saw the student doing it more than once. Though apparently class rank doesn't matter for college apps as much as it used to, so even repeated cheating might not be harmful to anyone else without a curve. If you feel you must tell the teacher, then you have another option - drop off an anonymous letter letting the teacher know that there is a student who cheated on the quiz. You don't really have to name names or even identify yourself, but that way the teacher can watch the students more closely during the next quiz.
