If you like however, you can go to Matthew 5 17-20 & Luke 21 25-33. Every single one of us can pull out particular verses and such. So I'll tell you as well - go against what is 'written'...and you're on your own. It's not about you reaching me, or me reaching you - look where we are here! If any one of you wants to go against written biblical text...go ahead - there are dangers though. And if you, or any of you, don't have the scriptures in your hand, just what are you using for the Word Of God. Does it differ from what any of us are talking about here? Athene...what do you use? Polycarpl1...what is under your arm? Texas Lynn...what written Word do you have? I use the King James and the NIV - my end of it.

Do any of us have a different enemy though? I think Satan just loves every little struggle that each of us has against one another. There are many dangerous fronts to fight on, and this isn't the biggest one. The Jewish faith without the Messiah is another. The worship of the Queen of Heaven (mary) has its place. The (word) Faith Movement documents sorrows. And the other 100 or so, that try to hide behind the actual Gospel. These range from cults to cover-ups, as Satan disguises the package if some don't bite on it.

AS "GOD'S TRUTH" The Word or the Spirit in Acts?
or The Word or the Spirit in Romans,
Or Ephesians...or Revelation and the like?

Is the Holy Spirit now just a commentary work and nothing else?

And I'm not taking about the pages or the ink but ~The Word of God's Word~ that IS WRITTEN and to be written Spiritually on our hearts?

I agree that the 'books' are only a guide, but without these books and reasearch done since the N T was first written, how would be know what the Greek and Hebrew words meant. To say that the Holy Spirit tells us what they mean is okay but everyone on this planet has a different understanding of at least somme of the texts. I believe the Holy Spirit tells us what we need to know for where we are and to help us along the nexst step of our journey with God. Try and do some of the translations the way ALL of our English Bibles were done and you will find that there is NO just relying on the Holy Spirit, but a lot of hard work in finding the right variants and searching for the right meaning of the particulat word / phrase. e.g. take the formation of the KJV by a committee formed by King James.

With the second bit I highlighted there seems to be words missing!

Look,....ponder this:
There is 7 meanings to each Hebrew Letter.
And there is 70 meaning for each Hebrew word.

There's a work to work In Christ and that's not it, we've already been
told Oh Man what is good and that is the Holy Spirit leading us to putting to death the deeds of our flesh. What you are talking about English V. verses the KJ V. is how Satan has caused you to choose sides. In other words, He is taking The Written Word and twisting it and trying to separate things from God's Word to cause us to wrestle against one another, as your doing with me in mentioning your English vs. the King James wrestle.

Don't do it, it's evil unto evil.
Don't go with Satan!
Repent and go back to your first Love.
Take what ever Bible you want and refall in Love with Jesus all over again. But cause your agruement is in the gall of bitterness.

Satan is setting you up to have opponents with men,.....but He's is your enemy not men who care to even climb on a tree calling himself an animal nor a man who reads the King James Version.

Since I've heard from the Holy Spirit who inspired The Written Word which testify's of Jesus through my KJV Bible at that, I believe I'll listen to the Holy Spirit above what any man can say, since what most men say (not naming any here) is not in Balanced with God's Written Word nor His Spirit. Any error's in translations,.....God can handle it!

This is in a nut-shell what God HATH TOLD ME TO DO.

His Voice and His Anointing in you.

Slavery was partly condoned because St Paul urged slaves to honour their masters! Well no right-minded person would want to bring slavery back, would they? Using the Bible as a rule book for the way we should live in the 21st Century is fraught with problems, because how can stuff written so long ago have much bearing on how we live today? Of course we mustn't chuck the baby out with the bathwater, there are some good things in the Bible, but imo we should choosey about what we take on board, bearing in mind the times in which it was written!

I think it's talking about workers and bosses, or of us obeying people of higher authority. I dont belive it is talking about the slavery the way it was with african americans for example, those people were Kidnaped, forced into slavery, abused, overworked, no pay, and minimum shelter. God does not aprove of this kind of treatment of people. The problem is that alot of the bible is writen in medaphores, in a figurtive sence and people mis interpret it.

The bible was wrote by God, he basically spoke the words to the bible writers to put down. So it is God who wrote the bible, not man.

Then he asks who ate the forbidden fruit. Another is who killed Goliath 1 Sam 17 David or 2 Sam 21:19 Elhanan? Plus many, many other things from Leviticus!
