Is it wrong for a Christian to believe the bible code? or even read about it?

I personally believe the Bible Code thing is a little creepy. I also think that it's, in a way adding to the Word of God which we aren't to do. I've had many things revealed to me in Scripture and didn't need anything but the Holy Spirit to reveal them.

Well, what if the Bible code is written by God?

God created earth in 6 days and rested the 7th
We have 6000 years to live then the next 1000 is when Jesus rules

This is certainly part of Bible prophesy.

I think that the Bible Code is interesting but still more of a parlor game since it's been used more to confirm the past than to predict the future.

i partially agree with it. however, if the scripture is correct then we are living in the end times...

Well. there it is: "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." This is the time of the end. Nearly all things are in place since Israel came onto the world's scene back in 1948. Just about every science is shouting about God's Word being true and that He is gathering His people for the end times. Indeed, the Bible is written in code and it has been known for a long time - but only now do we have computers that can observe it at a rapid rate.

When God speaks to man through the bible, it through ordinary language. There is enough in plain speaking to keep Christians busy without trying to find encrypted messages. Jesus himself said that the end is known only to the Father. We are to pray, be ready, awaite his comming, seek Him and love our neighbors. Anything else is vain.

I have not read the Bible Code, but I know some people that have and they find it Scary. I dont know what to make of it myself.
