First of all, you are right.

Secondly,I really dont know what a spoiler is, or how to do it.

Third, I keep forgeting that they now know how to delay broadcasts for Calif.

Fourth, I dont even know why they are delaying broadcasts to Calif now.

But fifth, if a Calif. really wanted to know anything about something broadcast earlier in the day that was tape delayed, they certainly wouldnt be waiting around for me to post anything, Im sure they were already watching the show live on their cell phone.

However, if you talk to young people, the ones who eat/buy the most cereal, they really dont care about getting things "passed down from a previous generation" or what old people like to eat - in fact, it is in general a big turn off for whatever old geezers like to do.

You are not going to find very many cereal boxes at the grocery store with photographs of old folks faces on them.

That would be like having Barbie commercials with old women playing and collecting the dolls.

Bad idea.

Bad, bad, bad - which is why any advertising project team gets several ideas from each team member, and then critiques each idea from all angles in a group think session ( and then does consumer surveys on the best ideas when time permits).

Unfortunately, now that Brent is gone, no one on the Synergy team is competent enough to even "ask" each member to come up with several ideas, or to know how to evaluate different ideas on anything.

I respectfully disagree. I think Synergy's idea was excellent. Like mentioned already, they just didn't present it right. I liked Gold Rush's concept of "less is more" becuase that's what's needed when making a billboard. I think that if they had the logo of the new cereal then just something like "for a new generation". Also the models definitely needed a larger age gap. They were designing a billboard, not a cereal box.

At first, I didn't like the ad where the girl was pouring cereal down her throat. I thought it looked gross. The only reason that ad won was because it was simple.

The other ad was just way too cluttered.

Not me - He was entertaining to watch - I was sad to see him go -Brett was unpredictable and fun - if they get rid of Lenny anytime soon - it will be a very dull show.

I think that a lot of these candidates are qualified for this job. Obviously, they've been doing something right for them all to be as successful as they are.

Maybe Lenny is qualifed.

As far as the others, they all have stupid ideas (bathrobes, comedians, stallions pulling carraiges, empty gift bags, shooting shotguns at old men, and archery), they cry when things arent exactly what they want, they dont listen or allow everyone to participate, they blame everyone else for their mistakes, and they cannot organize nor plan.

Why have they been successful as they are?

Luck.

Although admittedly these candidates are not totally stupid, and they do have college degrees, whatever success they have had so far in life, has more to do with them being lucky enough to have been given good jobs, and been lucky in business.

Lots of businesses are, and have been successful because of luck. McDonalds food might not be the best food on the earth. President bush might not have been the best person in the country to be president. YOur own boss might not be as smart or as good as you are.

Aside from luck, and aside from Lenny, I really dont see much difference between these candidates and the kids in my high school.

I think that one of the reasons why I love watching the Apprentice is because I can very easily relate to those people.

And hardly any of them seem that impressive to me in terms of the ideas that they have or the things that they do on their tasks.

I think that a lot of them are where they are because of luck, and because of who they know. They may even have rich parents who helped to get them in through the backdoor to many companies and professional associations.

I don't believe that a person's succeess in or through college is a reflection of how well or hard they work in the real world. You're talking apples and oranges.

With unlimited financial resources and a staff of professional designers and labourers, I think I could do a much better job than a lot of these candidates.

Which means: that there probably is no difference between you, and a million dollar a year executive at Trump Corp headquarters- (except that you are not getting paid a million dollars a year)

Besides the contestants, Donald Trump himself was lucky to be the son of rich parents who put him thru Wharton and then made him president of the family Trump real estate business. Donald Trump inherited his wealth, and his business.

Maybe if your father was owner of the Trump Organization, you could have done as well as Donald did.

Likewise, Ivanka Trump ( who may - or may not be smarter than your sister or brother) is now an executive at Trump Corp because her daddy is Donald.

April 20, 2005 -- The storm-battered ship Norwegian Dawn was coming back to New York through gale-force winds to make a scheduled TV shoot for "The Apprentice" - a product placement that cost the cruise company more than $1million, sources said yesterday.

Donald Trump yesterday confirmed the ship _slammed by a 70-foot "freak wave" during the storm - was slated to be shot in New York early Sunday morning for an episode of his hit show.

"We would love to have had them, but obviously they weren't able to make it," Trump told The Post.

Norwegian Cruise Line admitted the ship's return had been pushed up a week before departure - from 10 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. - but attributed the change to "operational reasons" and refused to elaborate.

But a source close to the show said Norwegian paid Trump's producers a seven-figure sum for the ship to appear in the show - a big marketing coup. "They wanted to be on 'The Apprentice' because it's such a hot show," the source said.

Shaken passengers returned to New York a day late Monday morning, telling horror stories of the all-night storm and freak wave that struck on the way from the Bahamas.

A New York travel agent with 35 years' experience said it was distressing Norwegian may have put the 8 a.m. Sunday filming session before the safety of its passengers.

"In the event of a storm, it's normal for a cruise ship to sail away from it, even if that means they'll be delayed in coming back," said the agent, who had clients on the cruise. "It's not uncommon to alter course in severe weather."

Passenger Aldin Mamish, from New Jersey, said he was convinced the ship had been pushing to make port. "[It] should have stayed and waited for the storm to pass," said Mamish, 48, "but [it] didn't."

Norwegian spokeswoman Susan Robison last night refused to comment on the filming for "The Apprentice" or on the $1 million fee. But she denied the captain was under any pressure to hurry back.

She said the captain had believed he could steer through the edges of the storm, but that it behaved differently than forecast. She said the captain slowed the ship to a low speed of only four knots to minimize the rocking of the ship and discomfort for the passengers.

"There was no place to steer around," she said. "The captain acted completely appropriately, with his No.1 interest being the safety of the passengers and crew. We were not rushing anywhere."

Last month, a Norwegian cruise liner with 2,500 passengers from New York City headed to the Bahamas and was forced to return early for a taping of Donald Trump's TV show, "The Apprentice."

The angry passengers' lives were put in jeopardy as they were subjected to a torrential storm with 70 foot tidal waves that flooded many cabins and caused injuries to passengers, just so the boat could be featured on Trump's show.

For the third time in its five season run, candidates on Donald Trump’s popular reality show The Apprentice will shill for a fast food company.

Arby’s Restaurant Group, Atlanta, is the latest in a line of restaurant chains to leverage the NBC hit, in which teams of contestants duke it out in various business-themed competitions. The grand prize? A job with The Donald.

The “Arby’s Chicken Naturals” line, which debuted in February, will be featured in an episode on April 3. The chain would not release any details, including how much they spent to be on the hour-long show, but in similar past challenges, teams had to outsell each other to survive one more episode.

In many ways, product placement and Trump’s show are a match made in marketing heaven, said Brad Adgate, svp of research at Horizon Media, New York.

“It’s a natural fit for [the show],” Adgate said. “You’re talking about would-be entrepreneurs who want to get into business. Marketing and selling things is a big part of that.”

And for marketers who find themselves vying for attention in an increasingly crowded media field, positioning themselves on a show like The Apprentice is an appealing option.

“It’s top of mind, it’s integrated, it’s in a clutter- free environment,” Adgate said. “Its TiVo and DVR proof.”

In January 2005, Burger King teamed up with the show to develop and then market a new burger, loaded with cheese, onion rings, lettuce and tomato.

Several months later the contestants came up with a similarly gut-busting dish for Domino’s: a pizza pie cheeseburger combination with bacon and three types of cheese.

By comparison, Arby’s promotion sounds more like health food than fast food. They are made from chicken that has not been “altered or injected with added water, salt or phosphates,” the company said. But fast food lovers need not panic. The sandwiches come in a variety of diet-killing ways, like crispy chicken, bacon and swiss cheese

Who do extremely well too! I was very pleased to see that George was true to his convictions. It must have been very difficult for those two young men to risk their one opportunity to become Trump's apprentice by standing firmabout something they believed.

Business in America used to "get done" back when all stores were closed on Sundays also, that doesnt mean that the owners of business like being closed on Sundays.

If Trump needs something done on Christmas day, or on a jewish holiday, or if he wants you to travel on a Sunday (Christian), or on a Saturday (jewish), you better believe that you better do it.

Everything is business to Trump, and nothing is more important to him than business.

They won because the ad was simple. The actual idea of passing down to a new generation was better but was not good for a billboard plus the guy was too young to be the womans father (but they could not see this????) I also like people who mix things up a bit; I hate to see them leave too early.
