Thanks joykins I was just going by your post in the announcements section about the conciliators being named. Thank you for assuring that you will retain responsibility/leadership over your group untill someone else is named.

Yeah, I probably should have clarified that I can't put in the 4-hour days anymore but I'm still on here on a regular basis. Just not enough to run the whole shebang indefinitely.

Well.. again, I don't see the membership in here rushing staff to hurry and open the new forum. And based on what I'm hearing from the conciliators in this thread.. Cadan says things are moving too fast. Belinda says Friday is a good day to shoot for.. but implies that staff has much yet to do.

Like the bible says.. "haste makes waste."

Oh wait.. that isn't Scripture.

If you can do it by Friday.. good going. If not.. don't lose any sleep over it.

I agree that perhaps it would be a good idea to open the forum before the 11th. I imagine the executive announcements on the 11th will promote much discussion and to have days before then to iron out the kinks might be quite useful.

And where would you expect the membership to post a thread asking the staff to hurry up?

If there's a problem.. the membership can pm staff. There's no need for a 'rush'.

Like the bible says.. 'patience is a virtue'.

Now that IS Scripture.

And how would you, or anyone else, know if anyone has PM'ed staff?

Huh?

I said.. if there's a problem.. then the membership can pm staff. I have no idea what that has to do with anyone 'knowing' who pm's staff or not. But if you just want an answer for kicks, the answer is: 'I wouldn't know. Neither would I care'.

The point is.. if more time is needed to iron out the rough edges.. then take the time needed. If not.. then good going.

The bible says patience is a fruit of the Spirit.

If the membership was flooding the staff with PMs why would you expect to "see" it?

Since you can't see PM communication to staff how do you know the membership is not trying to rush staff?

Who said the membership was flooding staff with pm's? And who said I'd expect to "see it"?

Check your pm box for your answer. I don't want to clutter up Constance's thread with this discussion.

I'm so impatient. I've had to go on a hunt around the forum to see who it was. Congratulations!

Just posting to make sure it isn't me!
