Yeah well, yeah.I've tried so many times. I think it begins with dealing with other issues but I just cant speak those words in real lifebforbsome reasons

I've mentioned Celebrate Recovery before. It's a Christian twelve-step program that helps people deal with all of their 'hurts, hangups, and habits.' It's non-denominational.

What I think is best about it is that it recognizes that most people are dealing with a myriad of different issues and, while someone can concentrate on alcohol, he can deal with other issues as well. I have met some of the most open-hearted men I've ever known there and it is beautiful to see the strong bonds they have forged with one another. They are a real brotherhood.

What I think is worst about it is that it's a little too fundy for me, but I recognize that due to my East coast roots and serious antipathy for evangelical conservatives, that's more of a problem for me than for some others. Thankfully, I have never heard any CR members talk politics...occasionally I see some creepy FB posts.

My most uncomfortable moment with CR members was at an IHOP one morning where a few divorced ladies were talking about the guns they owned, the guns they wanted to buy, etc. One was a kindergarten teacher! None of their exes were, as far as I knew, potential murderers. Besides, CR is supposed to be about forgiveness, making amends, reaching closure. I was so disappointed in them but I held my tongue and didn't finish my omelet...

AS most of you know, I take really good care of my employees. I pay above scale, and do as well as I can with benefits, both monetary and non-monetary. I do this for many reasons. My employees work hard, and do a great job and deserve the pay and benefits. They are all very loyal and I can depend on them. My business is doing well, and growing, largely due to these people I have hired.

All of that being said, and I feel a little guilty about this, but I really like being the boss and being referred to as Doña Sylvia.....

I own a company that does contract and call in maintenance. I have carpenters, plumbers, electricians heating and air conditioning techs, painters and drywallers. Right now, my payroll is 38 people.

I have clients with contracts that call whenever there is a need and I send people to fix things. We occasionally get cold calls from individuals and businesses that need emergency repairs.

My workforce are almost all Hispanic, hence the title Doña Sylvia....
