There certainly are gay people with mental problems, just as there are heterosexuals with mental problems. I do not have mental problems, and I am gay.

Being gay is not itself a mental problem. The beliefs about homosexuality that were commonly held in the 1950s are no longer held by most medical practitioners or researchers in this field. All of the major professional organizations that address mental health issues reject the previously held idea that homosexuality is a mental illness. That includes the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, and the various professional associations of social workers and others who work with psychological illnesses. Homosexuality is now recognized by most professionals as a characteristic of some people, not an illness. I am gay. I do not have an illness.

Also in the 1950’s individuals with Down’s syndrome were locked up in institutions. Does this fact make hatred of people with developmental disabilities acceptable?

No homosexual do not. That is a common lie told among Christian hate groups but that is all. What has been found is that mental illness associated with homosexuality is not form the sexual orientation itself but rather it comes from the hatred and prejudice some people in society choose to inflict on our gay and lesbian brothers and sister.

So it’s not being homosexual that is the problem. It is the hatred and bigotry these individuals face that is the problem.

As for your statement in the 2nd paragraph, Everything is mentioned in the bible either specifically or indirectaly, concerning Pedophilia- ALL Sexuals sins are forbidden in the bible.

I'll make sure to make a statement this coming Sunday morning that it is God's "plan" for children to have a normal caring environment with their natural parents -- and that people who have adopted children, or women who are raising children alone because of divorce, death, or who never married are living OUTSIDE God's "plan" and should give their children over to married, heterosexual couples (or orphanages) who can give them more "natural" care.

I'll keep you posted as to what happens.

That wasnt what he said though, the bit in your post after the '--' was your stuff, so maybe you just need to keep yourself posted.
What you have written doesnt change the post you quoted. God's purpose is to have a normal caring environment for children with natural parents, same-sex stuff is juts one thinking of many that corrupts this. Wht you have done is decided what should happen to any who fall short and punish them.
If one falls short then one can repent and receive forgiveness, that applies to the same-sex couple as the divorced couple, both have failed to God's plan.
Yes its true that a Christian man and woman must know that their marriage before God is to be faithful and honouring Christ first and then each other and that it is to be until death parts, but many couples of course both men and women and same-sex couples never believe this whe they marry or marry partners who dont believe in this or this committment.
