ummmm what is "kibby"? It sounds like a brand of cat food but you seem to like to eat it so it must be something ... else...

(I say as I finish off a piece of cheesecake I got at Burger King.)
It's ground meat with bulgar wheat and onions mixed in... they're made into patties and baked in oil...

Don, how's the weather that way? Kevin is going up to MD tomorrow to pick up the puppies on Saturday but he's heading out on Friday.
We sure need the rain so I guess that's good... and maybe the tomatoes will survive.

Good morning to those who went to see Chris Isaac's great show last night and whose son Andy came back sick from school and have pasta night, to those who need to sleep because they can't see that they're greeted and want to anathematize those who call on saturday afternoon, to those who just realized it's almost september, to those who have kibby for dinner and love the stuff and are lucky their schedule does not change much, to those who want some and those who don't because it sounds like cat food, to those who make coffe both regular and decaf, to those who prefer decaf in a keg after homeworks to go to DL, to those whose hubby goes to MD to pick up the puppies and hope the tomatoes will survive, and to other friends.

Ernesto is still raging here. Neighborhoods are flooded. Our beachfront hotel took on a lot of water. The one where I'm working had about 4 inches of water coming in off the streets. The power's been off and on all morning. They expect it to end by this afternoon. You should have seen me in my pajama bottoms, flip-flops, and raincoat when I got up at 6am trying to recover things that had blown away from my house and were floating down the street (including my garbage can!).

Half of my staff can't make it in from Norfolk and Chesapeake, but will be trying to get through later when the water subsides.

I'm collecting animals two by two. Anyone know how to build an ark?

Hey, maybe I'll sneak behind the counter and make a fresh pot. How do you work this thing?

LOL. It's actually easy, you take a spoonful or two of the coffee grinds and a little sugar (depending on how strong you want it) for every demitas of water (little tea cups) in the imbriki (metal thingy with the handle that looks like a deep ladle) put the imbriki over an open flame (some people put it in hot sand) let it boil. Then pour the hot coffee into the demitas cups, let the it cool a bit so that the grinds settle and enjoy.

we were in Hurricane Rita...lost the house...trust me...I understand...

as far as how to make an Ark...

Whoompa, whoompa, whoompa, whoompa
Noah!
Somebody call?
Whoompa, whoompa, whoompa
Noah!
Who is that?
It's the Lord, Noah
Right!

Where are ja?
What you want? I've been good.
I want you to build an Ark
Right!
Whats an Ark?
Get some wood build it
300 cubits by 80 cubits by 40 cubits
Right!
Whats a cubit?
Lets see a cubit...I used to know what a cubit was
Well don't worry about that Noah
When you get that done
Go out into the world and
Collect all of the animals in the world by twos
Male and female, and put them into the ark
Right!
Who is this really?

Yall must have some pretty hot beaches over there.

So the grinds settle? Even if some slip by, I bet they're good for the digestion. I hope you don't mind if I add some creamer, I brought my hazelnut non-dairy.

Lol The sand is in a metal container and usually heated underneath by coals or gas

Most of the grinds settle but some do pass through. Be careful with the grinds because some people will want to read your cup

I think Hurricane Isabel blew through here quicker than this storm. They're calling for four to eight more inches of rain before it's over, and advising that people stay off the roads (we're idiot drivers in inclement weather around here. I think Jennie's experienced them!)

Ohhh! I was fixin' to add my volcano exploration suit to my packing list for when we take our cruise over there. Might as well pack it anyway, isn't Cyprus a volcano?

Thanks for the warning, but that sounds kind of intriguing. Besides, I wouldn't want to be rude.

Yikes!

However, we could use some of that over here. We need a lot of rain to catch up with our severe drought and all.
