Amazing isn’t. Weeks ago and early on if someone even suggested this they were considered a moonbat.

Only because the news was force feeding us the whole bat soup/wet market cover story.

That doesn't mean it didn't originate from a Chinese lab.
Speculation is not evidence, let alone proof. Christians should know better. Slanderous accusations do not honour God.

I think we have moved from speculation to hypothesis.

It's still ungodly to repeat accusations without any basis. This has consequences. Some people will use this "hypothesis" to abuse Chinese people - as is happening already. Transmission of viruses from animals to humans is well known - HIV and Hendra, for example. How about proving that COVID-19 is not transmitted by animals before deciding that it is biological warfare.

Are you accusing me of making slanderous accusations?

Where do you get that from? The news coverage has passed that on as one possibility that, as covered in the news, is almost certainly not the case (as reported in the news). If you actually read the news you'll find that the coverage is broad, and if you think you are being force-fed by not reading it, well, that's kind of a strange idea. It's interesting that, having not read the press you are criticising but being ready to accuse them of 'force-feeding' a simplistic idea (which they didn't) you are fully prepared to latch onto another one, because it comes from a different source.

No it is not slanderous nor ungodly. What the CCP did was ungodly by hiding information.

Attempting to investigate and provide information on causes of the virus when the epidemic center nation refuses to share information is not ungodly. It’s a search for facts and truth.

I got it from the news...all the majors ones. They pushed this at first but the story started to fall apart with leaks coming out of China.

? Like what. I read the news daily and I haven't come across any article 'pushing' that idea. Can you list some examples of where you read that?

I don't know what news you had access to but the news I read was all about bats from a wet market at first.

I'll list two articles from months ago:

January 31, 2020:

"Why They're Called 'Wet Markets' — And What Health Risks They Might Pose"

February 7, 2020:

"Scientists believe coronavirus originated in wild animal markets — and they want the Chinese government to shut them down"

Fast forward to April 2020 and bats and wet markets aren't being blamed as the source of the virus anymore.

Don't tell me what I haven't read.

Here are some articles from the 'MSM' from January until today on theories about possible sources of the virus. As you can see, medical experts have revised their views as more data has come to light, and, as you would expect, the reports discuss 'possible' and 'provisional' ideas as they developed over time, making comparisons with previous outbreaks and so on to provide broad coverage of theories being put forward. What are they 'force-feeding' you? What ideas are they 'pushing'?

You honestly don't see any problem with this argument? Researchers into this phenomenon, as with SARs and other, earlier, corona viruses they were/are investigating the usual suspects. As that investigation has progressed, new possibilities have arisen and are being investigated also. This relates the passage of time to people doing things. How on earth do you get from that to ideas about being 'force fed' and have some agenda 'pushed' at you?

From the first article you quoted in Feb:

'A "wet market" in Wuhan, China, is catching the blame as the probable source of the current coronavirus outbreak that's sweeping the globe.

Patients who came down with disease at the end of December all had connections to the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan China. The complex of stalls selling live fish, meat and wild animals is known in the region as a "wet market." Researchers believe the new virus probably mutated from a coronavirus common in animals and jumped over to humans in the Wuhan bazaar.'

Force fed? Pushing an agenda?

?

Bats are still seen as a possible link between humans and other mammals in the initial transmission of the virus.
