I was watching TV sometime ago, long time ago, actually.
There was "Politically incorrect" program on TV, that should give you a clue how long ago was that.
I don't really take Bill Maher seriously. He is a smart aleck and pokes insulting jokes at people of faith all the time for, apparently, shock value. But he did pose one very curious and thought-provoking question.
You always hear people say "I tried drugs, promiscuous lifestyle, life of crime etc. and now I found Jesus", but you never hear "I didn't do drugs, never did anything promiscuos or never lived life of crime and don't want to know what those things are like because I have Jesus".
Why is that?
It seems that people who never tried certain things but are tempted are eaten alive inside with curiosity. Once they do it, even though they committed a sin, they know what doing that is like and move on. Not all of them, I undestand, but a good score. It just never seems the other way.
Any thoughts on that, CF gang?
