Watch until the end... (its 16 minutes)

This particular circle of folks are very dangerous and heretical in many ways. The guy with the dreads is not right that I am certain.

Jesus healed every time because he IS GOD. God is sovereign we have no power of our own period. If the Lord uses us to heal, it is Jesus still healing and he is sovereign and decides to heal whom he will.

Acts 3:6-16
2 Corinthians 4:7
John 14:12

They never said it is their power. But they know who is alive in them, the Holy Spirit of GOD. And they know GODs will. It is GOD who heals, no man has power of themselves to do anything, it is from GOD, and nothing they said took away from the fact that it is GOD who heals. Maybe this will help you, because once you realize that Jesus Christ emptied Himself of everything when He came down for a short time until He was resurrected, (Hebrews 2:9) you realize ALL of the miracles Jesus did was by the power of the Holy Ghost in Him. The same power He has given us to continue the works He did and greater, (John 14:12), (Acts 1:8) for it is the will of GOD. Maybe this will help below,

Encouragement :) The power of GOD in us!

At the mall we have been seeing men's legs grow out, torn ACL's being healed, pain disappearing and metal dissolving in a persons knee with X-rays showing it is gone!
It is GOD who heals, we just know who is in us and what His will is and we speak the words in faith knowing GOD will heal them. GOD gets all the glory, because just as Paul and John told the people they were just men and it was GODs power and faith in Christ Jesus that made the man whole, I also tell the people the same thing. I tell them I can do nothing of myself, I just know GOD wants to heal you, and believe He will do it, and have faith in Jesus!

GOD bless you brother, in Jesus name and It is truly amazing what GOD wants to do through us to His glory and for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in Heaven, AND REMEMBER the kingdom of GOD is within us by the Holy Ghost, so lets be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and continue His ministry He left for us when He ascended up to the Father and endued us with power from on high to do the will of GOD! (Luke 24:49)

I agree. It has been and always will be Jesus who heals people. He is sovereign in the way He does it. He goes about things in His own way and does not conduct Himself as a vending machine for anyone who presses the healing "button".

Now having said that. Jesus did command His disciples to heal the sick. And laying hands on the sick who will recover (not necessarily instant), accompanies those who believe. He did not say pray for the sick. He said heal them. So someone ministering to a sick person would say, "Jesus heals you." or "Be healed in the Name of Jesus". The person ministering may speak to the part of the body that is affected and command it to resume its normal function. If he discerns that the sickness is caused by a demon (not always the case!) he may curse the sickness and tell the demon of infirmity to leave that person's body. All these ways of ministering to a sick person can be found in the gospels and Acts. Jesus told people to take up their bed and walk. He told someone to go wash in a pool. Peter and John told a lame man to rise up and walk. Jesus cast a deaf and dumb spirit out of a man. So I am not talking about anything that is not in the New Testament, and continued on to be practiced by the Early Church right through to the Third Century. The Eastern Orthodox Church practiced them right through to the 12th Century!

So, does healing come automatically even though we use Jesus' and the Acts methods of ministering healing? No. There are a lot of reasons for this and I will say that the Church has been its worst enemy in hindering miracles of healing through the centuries. Jesus is always willing to heal, but in most churches there is such strong unbelief that He can't do as much as He wants to do.

So, does that mean we give up? No. We still have a responsibility before God to be obedient to what Jesus commanded. So when we minister to the sick, we are not doing it primarily for the results, but we do it out of obedience. If a ministry of healing does it for results. then it could be viewed as a failure or even false when the results don't come. But when a ministry is not worried about results. but ministers out of obedience and leaves the results in the hands of Christ, and is clear about that to those who come for healing, then they are going about it in the right way,

I have put this into practice in my own ministering to the sick. The Holy Spirit told me to pray with anyone who came across my path with a medical condition. A few have been healed, which is a blessing, but most either haven't been. or they were no longer in contact with me.

So the upshot of all this is: by all means minister to sick people and trust Jesus to heal them in His way. Do it in obedience to His command to heal the sick, and if results don't happen right away, leave things in His sovereign hands. Maybe a person needs multiple ministry sessions for healing to come. Perseverance is a principle of Scripture. Jesus told us parables about that.

One thing I was to say in closing. Telling a sick person who does not get healed after ministry that he is still sick because he does not have enough faith is telling a lie and it is a nasty lie at that. It is the responsibility of the person ministering to have the faith. A sick person is too busy trying to cope with his disability or sickness to have enough faith to be healed.

John Wesley's horse got healed once of lameness as the result of Wesley's prayer for his own healing of a headache caused by the uneven gait of his horse. I say to people, "Praise God that horse had faith to be healed!"
