  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, maybe it's a Friday thing or maybe it's the fact that I'm at home today and didn't go out anywhere but sometimes things feel so dead, as in "not enough people, not enough activity." Everyone gets days like this but today is one of those days and I hope it passes, for the better.

I used to feel that way since basically everyone I hung out with has passed away. But, I started going out for coffee and met some nice people to spend a few hours a day with.

I'm still deciding which parish to focus on (I know, it's pathetic how long I've been like this). I'm quite certain it would help me focus on something.

I have volunteered through the Church. You develop a lot of friendships through those things.

I agree, I'm just trying to figure out between two parishes, which one I should focus on more. Probably the one I'm a member at, but there are reasons why I'm losing incentive to be a member there. I think I'm going to have to talk about it with the most local priest - even if he's biased in favor of his parish. The time has come to stop vacillating and get to the point, because I'm suffering too much with this "hopping." I was suffering before, but it's doubly worse now.
