• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Don't know what to say except that I've been reading your posts and think you're an awfully sweet person.
I hope you stick around and keep on posting. You make my experience here better just by reading what you've written.
Don't let anyone get you down. You know, even friends have off days and act less than kind. Just go about your business, remember that a kind word turns away a lot of anger and most of all have fun. Be yourself, because I really enjoy your posts and have learned quite a bit from them.

I do not know what happened, but I offer my apologies. Christ said that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves, and many who claim to be Christians stumble on this more often then not. In our lives God should come first, then others, then us. It happens way to often that people put themselves before others, thus not thinking about anothers feelings and being mean. You will be blessed by forgiving and not acting out as others have acted towards you. You are a precious child of God's, take your pain to Him in prayer and sit with Him for a while, He will heal your pain. May you be a witness of God by how you react to the way others treat you. You will be lifted to His bossom and blessed.

May His love and strength fill you, so you may forgive those, and show yourself as a true child of God. My ear is always here through a pm, but His is much better. I send you my love as His love fills you.

I'm not sure what happened, but I'm sorry that you were hurt. Even christians forget that we have to respect others feelings, and have a hard time acting Christ like. Just remember that there are real loving christians on here, and of course you can always take this to God in prayer, He's always there for you.

I did a search on my E-sword and found this verse

1Sa 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but Daviden couraged himself in the LORD his God.


I think it is kind of cool. He encouraged himself in the Lord.. I think there is some great power in seeking God!
Just a thought

So sorry you've been hurt. As i've prayed for you I just sense God's heart for you. We can misrepresent the Father's heart with inappropriate words.

Bevlina, I don't know what happened, but it upsets me you were hurt by the very ones who should provide love and refuge. It's amazing how many people don't like to use the word "Christian" to describe themselves anymore because of all the cruelty and immaturity within christendom. All I can say is be true to yourself and seek those people who will love you as you are. hug, hug
