Skiing

Another skier.

In the tiny coal-mining town where I grew, Every child, once they walked independently, had 2 wooden boards strapped to their boots the next winter. (in my case, I was just 13 months young when I got started). - Born of necessity, as by age 5, each child each winter (1/2 the year) had to be skilled... on skis including their care & waxing, to get themselves to Kindergarten, & then school. Hence, by the time we were 5, we each were pretty good little skiers., as that was our 2nd. mode of transportation, the only other way was walking, or bicycle which I didn't have.

((Once in school, we were also trained as sprinters, & gymnasts... , so we were mostly healthy & fit: really
helpful, maintaining Health-habits thruout life... Small wonder then, that decades later,
combining the enjoyment of Flexibility, speed, & jumping, people would naturally gravitate towards my passion of *Ice-skating* ))

Spent 1st 13 yrs. in Erzgebirge, Sachsen
(aka S.E.Germany);
before immigrating into & becoming citizen of USA
Should hasten to add, that I was 23 the last time I skiied, in Utah.
