Please pray for me. I am dealing with some very embarrassing, sinful addictions and I need all the grace I can get. I am going to confession on Sunday, and pray and hope I can break this addiction/cycle once and for all! I am very spiritually ill at the moment. My anxiety is through the roof.

God bless you!

Thank you.

God bless you
Will pray for you, but how is your prayer life ?
Do you strive to maintain sanctifying grace?

Some times addiction is a symptom of another problem. I thought I knew everything and had a doubtful conscience toward Church teaching
It was when I repented and submitted to the full authority of the Church that God gave me the grace to overcome my addictions

Satan is lying to you that you are not good enough and God can’t help you. God loves you very much. If you need help just ask Him

You have taken the first step in admitting that you need help and have asked here

Try a devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. She will help you identify the sin or spirit that is driving your addictions

I don’t mean to minimize your problem. I have gone through addictions and know how hard it is
If you want to talk, let me know

Thank you.

God bless you
I have dealt with addiction with these verses below and followed the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Mat 6:33 -34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Just take it one day at a time, it is the key to success, simply say to yourself at the time of temptation "Not today I will not"

Also the most important thing is to Know and am certain of it is Jesus is ALWAYS with you, never forget that, He is there for you, trust in him completely. “...surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:20

I will pray for the comforter to help you.

Blessings.

I’ve been absolved today! Glory to God!
Glory to God now take the Eucharist which will cleanse you of venial sin and decrease your desire for sin. You are in sanctifying grace, strive to make your calling and election sure
For addiction I would recommend daily Eucharist and weekly confession
It’s a spiritual battle that does not end until we reach heaven, but we are here to support each other as the communion of saints. God has also provided tremendous grace is His sacraments
So happy you took advantage of Gods grace in the sacrament of Penance

I’ve been absolved today! Glory to God!
Now I just need to pray more and stay aware of my mood! That's my main trigger!

Challenges of your mood should not cause discouragement. That is God allowing you to be tested because He thinks you can handle it.
If you are aware of it, the trials get easier and your burden lightens even when the trials get more intense.
If you aren’t aware of it and take the poor Me attitude why does God hate me cry position, you will be overwhelmed and backslide easily

Remember the verse from Job. Blessed is the man whom God chastises, for He smites but He binds up, He wounds but His hands give healing

In the New Testament it is encouragement that God chastises those whom He loves. If you are not chastised then ye a bastards and not sons

Now we do not go out seeking chastisement, but if we receive it, we reflect on why we deserve it and do not blame others or worse blame God.
Consider Psalm 95

Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 For in his hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are his.
5 For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.
7 For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
8 To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts:
9 As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.
10 Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart.
11 And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest

Always obey God, even if you get chastised, stay true and give Him praise suffer willingly in humility and in secret and He rewards you openly
I have been chastised myself and endured it, and He gives me His grace which is worth more than what I lost

Have you tried the Jesus prayer?

I recite it a lot now daily, but especially when I’m struggling.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
I have a prayer rope. It’s been blessed. Although I am Roman, I need to use it more often.

Thank you
