Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why does it seem like every other Lutheran is a Libertarian?

Every Lutheran I know is very BIG into personal freedoms and Individual responsibility. I think that plays a large part into many Lutherans being,Libertarians..I am actually suprised to see that more of us are not constitution party...

Did you get anything?

Yeah, we did. I got about eight or ten good place settings of china- including the platters, serving bowls, gravy boat, sugar bowl and creamer.
We also bought a love seat/ sleeper, a dresser, a print, and a wall mounted coat rack w/ mirror.

I had my second para class on Saturday. It's pretty easy. You learn stuff and then apply it to work situations. It's pretty common sense for me. I've been using these skills for the last year.

PACES got to borrow pedometers from ISU. I walk about 1000 steps per hour. This morning was more because I played "flag tag" with the kids in the gym. I had over 3500 steps in 1 1/2 hours. Then, I came home and exercised. I need to learn how to target the abs below my belly button. I also have more fat on my left side than I do my right.

You aught to look at the Constitutional Party. Very conservative (and even somewhat Christian) and very Constitutionaly orieted.

http://www.constitutionparty.com/index.php

Their Preamble:

The Constitution Party gratefully acknowledges the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of these United States. We hereby appeal to Him for mercy, aid, comfort, guidance and the protection of His Providence as we work to restore and preserve these United States.

This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been and are afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.

The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.

The Constitution of the United States provides that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.

The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are constitutionally elected by the citizens. In such a Republic all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.

We affirm the principles of inherent individual rights upon which these United States of America were founded

it is a bit quiet...why don't we all have a beer...then sit down and tell each other how wrong we all are...

Isnt there another denomination forum that specializes in bashing others?
I thought that they won the most "pious" subforum ever award in the bag
