Do any of your find that when you're "good", everything else in your life is good?

I am really starting to believe that the more I sin, the worse my health will be. I was raised in a strict christian home until I was 15 or so. My health is my main problem, since I had my colon removed when I was 11 due to Ulcerative colitis, and have other auto-immune related issues as well. I noticed that for the first 5 or so years after my first surgery, I was pretty healthy aside from the fact that I was missing half of my gut. I stopped having faith and tryed to ignore/disbelieve in any god when I was 16. That's also when I started being concerned about worldy things and let my morals down. After that I started feeling tired all the time, didn't have energy, etc. When I was 17, I had my first sexual experience, and almost immediately afterwards I got a severe bowel infection and had to be hospitalized. That has been the trend in my life since then. Now that I've rededicated my life to God, it seems that when I do things that are unfavorable in His eyes, I get more ill than I was when I wasn't a christian. So, it seems that I'm being punished for anything "bad" that I do. I've been putting a great effort into avoiding everything "bad", like anger, jealousy, etc., but I've also had a bowel infection since January, and it just won't go away. And for example, say I get mad at my BF and am difficult to deal with, I could go to bed early, but still wake up too sick to go to work the next morning. It's pretty annoying, and I don't really know what else to do besides obeying God and taking my medication. Now I'm probably going to need a couple more surgeries to fix this.

I'm not posting this to gain sympathy or anything, but I'd like to know what you all believe about sin in regards to your life.

well i dont have health problems, but i can say that life sucks for me when i sin.

i really dont know anything to say about the connection of sin to your health, but i do know that sin opens the door to the devil in all areas of your life.
jesus said in John 8.12 that he who sins, is the servant of sin.

sinning makes satan your master, he has freedom to act in our lives.

but no i dont think it is God punishing you. he doesnt do that sort of thing.
though sin can open the door to the enemy in your life.

the bible says righteouness is a breastplate. in ephesians 6.
paul said to put on the armor of light(righteousness) in romans.
david said that God saved him, ACCORDING TO HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS in psalms 18.

yes our health, success, prosperity, and all good things, are determined by our holiness. holiness wards off the enemy.

just like how isreals victory or defeat was determined by their holiness. sin meant death alot.

God promised Joshua success in everything he did, BUT ONLY if he walked according to the law of God, and took not one step to right or left of it.

paul said for a man to love his wife, lest his prayers be hindered.
when their is sin and wrong in your life, it hinders God answering your prayers and providing for you.

sin always destroys everything around it.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If your having health problems and you need a divine healing or a miracle from God, then you should live right before Him. He gives us the power and the strength to live the life He calls us to live.

Deut. 30:19
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

I find that the more I do what pleases God, rather than what iritates Him, the better my life is, yes.

When I realize that my life is getting out of control or hurtful, I've started thinking about what I might have done that I need to repent of. I start there, because if I am the cause of my pain, I'm better off if I just repent and get it over with, rather than making excuses or giving God more grief. If I can't think of anything, then I assume God is letting me go through something hard for my own benefit, to build my faith or to strengthen me somehow, and I roll with it.

Life's a lot better since I started doing this.

maybe its becuase in ephesians 6.14 and 2 cor 6.7
righteousness is refered to as ARMOUR and a BREASTPLATE.

holy living is one the hedges we must have around our life.

the devil would seek to destroy us with sickness, diseases, whatever. and sickness can be satanic becuase sometimes sick persons were brought to jesus and he did not mention the sickness but he cast our an evil spirit and it solved the problem.

the devil would seek to destroy every area of our lives, even our health.
and the bible says that one vital piece of armour we must always have is a righteous and holy lifestyle.
