  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well there's this health conference at my sda friend's church ending this week and as usual they always baptise those who are willing to. It makes a couple of months since I have accepted Jesus as my personal Savior but I'd find it easier to get a SDA baptism than at my COG...Since it doesn't make so long that I'm there.

Is it possible to be baptised by an Adventist minister without agreeing fully with the baptismal vows ? Why is the SDA baptism includes automaticaly that you becomes an adventist first then a christian (that's the feeling that I got)

No...you can't get baptised into the SDA faith without agreeing to all the vows. You would be actually be baptised into the Adventist faith and joining their church as a member in good standing. Take a look at the Adventist baptismal vows.

And here is an alternate version intoduced in 2005
