I am wondering: is there anyone in this French-forum, who (like the 2 wonderful people over in the German-forum)
*enjoys* chatting in French, helping others to learn this language better...
As you can see by my history-to-date, I've been buzzzy (LL) learning languages as fast as I can:

2. Deutsch =13-years, together with
3. Russisch=o4-years (can only recall 1 sentence now, lol)
4. English..=39-years
5. Spanish.=o1-year ...(got too-bored with it, for now)
6. Latein...=o2-years (slept thru it, in Hi-school)
7. Franzoesisch=o2-years lived in Quebec, Canada
8. Medical-= 32years: worked as a nurse
9. Counseling= 7 years
&
10. Hebrew : am just starting now...
&
I wanna learn EVERY-other language as well...

THANK YOU, very much, for any Help you are willingly providing...

heheh, why don't you do some speaking in french yourself, Sk8Joyful?

btw,

what he means there is that he is also a student of the French language. élève=student, elevé=raised, although he should have used étudiant rather than élève

the verb "montre" means to show, which would make the sentence "I often show the dictionary". I think you're trying to say I must often look in the dictionary? Je dois souvent chercher dans le dictionnaire. chercher=to look for something, the dois is there because it is a conjugation of the verb "devoir", meaning "must" or to have to....

Well, 3 reasons:
1. I haven't figured-out *yet* how the use our key-board to type the 'non-english' Letters,
like the German=ä, ö, ü, ß=ss //& the French = français, & élève. So,
would you tell me I am wrong without these marks on my letters?

Well in the present case, it was not a problem with you not using accents on letters. Rather you ignored the accents that were put on letters in the sentence written by Colabomb, which led you to misunderstanding what he wanted to say.
Indeed : `élève' does not mean the same thing at all as `élevé'.
