God--you're my God!

I can't get enough of you!
I've worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts.
So here I am in the place of worship,
eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory.
In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.
I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy;
I smack my lips. It's time to shout praises!
If I'm sleepless at midnight,
I spend the hours in grateful reflection.
Because you've always stood up for me,
I'm free to run and play.

God is our ever present help in times of trouble. Praise His name. It is His grace that sustains us and strengthens us. He makes our paths straight and protects us against the temptations and tricks of the enemy.

They loathed all food and drew near the gates of death.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy."

Amazing God - when we least deserve it, he shows his mercy.
Where would we be without God?

~ Psalm 41:11-13 ~

I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.

Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

When I first came back to the Lord in '97, I had a 74 year old mentor for the first couple of years. She said, "If you ever find that you're not at peace throughout the day, stop whatever you're doing and go back and find out where you lost it, cause outside of Him, there is no peace. Once you realize what went wrong, don't let it go on, but repent, seek His face, and be reconciled to God."

She was so right, because, really ... if we're not walking in His presense, its not Him that moved. When we have that 'peace that passes all understanding', we know that He is guiding us and we are walking according to His will - close to Him, just where He wants us. This verse says that to me.

This is my favorite Psalm as well. It is so beautiful and it always reminds me of how God is always there with me. All of the Psalms are amazing though.

This is so true, where would we be with out Him...we are no where...outside of Him...amen! But...in Him...we are "found" in grace.
