Genuine theology on New Covenant and gospel compared to two sides of the same coin:

Life based on faith and fruit; belief based on grace and truth; worship based on spirit and truth.

Counterfeit: a coin with only one side-- Life based on faith only; belief based on grace only and worship based on spirit only!

Gal 3:11,12 "But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith." Yet the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."

I think I'll opt for living by faith. That as opposed to one's life being contingent upon doing things.

Notice it is just who live by faith by being faithful, not irresponsible people who like faith only condition!

Life isn't based upon fruit. Reward is based upon work.

The just walk by faith.

1 Corinthians 3

11 For no other foundation can a man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Rom 4:4-6 Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. avid says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works

We are dealing with the fruit of the Spirit, not works

I think Jesus was talking to his disciples to prepare them for the immanent tribulation time called Jacobs trouble. During that time they or any of the Nation of Israel will need to "abideth in me" just like Revelation talks about "overcometh" in chapter 2 and 3.

This situation would of course now apply for a grace age believer who is not under the covenant make with Israel.

Whatever, those who are just branches of the Vine (nominal Christians) failing to produce fruit will be cut off for destruction.
By the way, it should be always grace-and-truth age. They should not be split apart or separated for convenient concepts!

Are you saying that if for some reason you don't continue to produce fruit that you will be separated from the Body of Christ?
