  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do they tell you your blood type? I don't know mine. My mom is O- and I think my dad was O+. I hope I'm O-, but don't know.

No, they aren't scones, they're party pies. coarsely minced meat in brown gravy encased in flaky pastry. A staple at most parties, larger ones, with a variety of fillings are about as ubiquitous as hot dogs in the US.

Oh sorry about the blood peeps. I keep forgetting people can have trouble with that.

I don't have much trouble with blood... it's needles that freak me out.
But it's alright having to get my blood checked every month has made me less scared. Mostly because I make my appointments early in the morning when I'm in my zombie stage.

The party pies are starting to sound good though.

I won't comment then on the needle experience.... I wouldn't want to needlessly needle you.

Party pies and party sausage rolls and fairy bread and cocktail frankfurts are always a hit at aussie parties.

Proper meat pies though.. yum. Cheese and Bacon or Mushroom or Steak and Kidney pies are the best of the lot.

Picture of a local Single-A baseball game I went to back in my home town. I just stumbled on it in my pictures folder a minute ago. I must have been 16 or 17 at the time. The players on the field were often just a year or two older than me.

Picture makes me sad. Oh to have time back again. Oh to have do overs.
