Fair enough. How about this: God spoke Hebrew to the Hebrews, He spoke Aramaic as Jesus, and in Heaven everyone will understand each other regardless of language.
JacobeanWhich English?
King JamesAmerican, modern Australian, King James, Oxford, Cockney or some other version?
There's a goofy site that has me "apparently believing" the following; and I want to set the record straight here:
16. Atheism is a polytheistic religion.
This is correct.
.
Fair enough.
What language are those "books" in, mentioned in Revelation?
And what language was this book written in?
Genesis 5:1a This is the book of the generations of Adam.
I say atheism is polytheistic, mainly because monotheistic would not be as accurate.Come on man, atheism is the position that deities don't exist, to be polytheistic, you have to believe more than one deity exists. Please tell me you are being sarcastic with this list.
Okay with you then, if I stake a claim to Jacobean English?I don't know.
Moses translated the first 25 chapters from English to Hebrew.Originally? Hebrew, when transcribed by Moses.
I say atheism is polytheistic, mainly because monotheistic would not be as accurate.
I used to consider atheists sun-worshippers, as they give the sun credit for sustaining life and keeping the earth going; but I have come to realize that God created the sun for just that purpose.
Then I concluded that they worshipped the muse of science, but that's a fallen angel anyway, who is working on them to discredit every jot & tittle of the Bible (in my opinion).
So of the two, polytheistic for the win.
I understand that, but just because you refuse, on principle, to say God doesn't exist, doesn't mean God doesn't exist. Thus, atheism is being without a belief in gods, and by definition that cannot be considered polytheistic or monotheistic.
I understand that, but just because you refuse, on principle, to say God doesn't exist, doesn't mean God doesn't exist.
Atheists don't believe in angels either, but according to the book of Revelation, they'll end up worshiping one.
It's already been proven right.According to a book you can't prove right.
It's already been proven right.
Your problem is: you can't prove It wrong.
So much for proof then.... you just don't want to listen to it.
So much for proof then.
Don't waste your time. Will you listen? Will you acknowledge the proof that your own sacred doctrine can not be literally true? If you will, I will present as much evidence as I can, but if you are never going to have an open enough mind to consider evidence against your doctrine valid, I won't waste my time.
Don't waste your time.
Evidence can take a hike.
I won't.Then don't say I wasn't willing to present proof, only that you had no desire to acknowledge it.
A Bible commentator -- and I can't remember who it was -- once stated that the language of the King James Bible is a Heavenly language; not even spoken by the English in the 17th century.
I have claimed that Adam & Eve spoke Jacobean English, but in light of this comment by the aforementioned commentator, I'll go either way.
Let's just say for now they spoke King Jamesese, which is sufficient to make my point.
In defending it as Jacobean English, I have contended that said English was lost at the Tower of Babel, and began a slow comeback to culminate in the time of King James I of England.
Not familiar at all with it.I'm curious. How familiar are you with linguistics and processes of language change over time?
