You are right - but if there is no one there to work with - what do you do? Reid is sitting on 2 bills the GOP submitted - won't even bring them out for a vote and all they do is say the GOP hasn't done anything.

It is a mess all the way around. Both sides. Lies, delay - none of them earn that big salary they receive with all those vacation days, big benefits in insurance and retirement and security for life. They have to be reminded on both sides that they work for us - they take it upon themselves to do as they please. I'm disguested with both sides. Ran Paul is looking pretty good to me. I hesitate to have any hope in our government on either side - I think we have drifted too far. The only hope for our country is for Jesus to return and get us out of this mess.

Seriously if Obama is actually serious about wanting this fixed he is directing his fire at the wrong people. The one being an obstructionist is Harry Reid, not House Republicans.

I will probably be called all sorts of things for this but I believe that what is happening is judgement for what we have become and for taking God out of our government

Wrong but that is OK the voters know who to blame and that is all that counts

If there was a disaster someplace, he stayed and walked through it. He didn't fly off and pretend nothing was wrong and knew nothing about it, such as Libya.

That's funny, when he wouldn't sign the NDAA with the indefinite detention of american citizens clause still in it, I supported him, then he decided he was going to sign it anyway and add a meaningless signer saying he wouldn't use it.

Actually if you are an example of an average voter, that they honestly don't know who is to blame.

Since the Republicans retook the House in January 2011 (courtesy of the 2010 elections), the Republican House has passed a budget every year as required by law.

The United States Senate on the other hand has not even attempted to work on a budget, let alone pass one since Obama became President (which is in violation of Federal Law).

As of Monday, the federal government has operated without a formal budget for three and a half years.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid last adopted a budget on April 29th, 2009, according to a Monday press release from the Senate Budget Committees Republican staff.
A budget requires only 51 votes to pass and yet the Majority has refused to even meet its legal obligation to draft one, said the release.

Doesn't really matter, he should have been doing something other than hamming it up. I think FEMA can be sent even if the state and local governments don't call for them to come out.

I have heard all this and I do watch news and talk news programs so I am not uninformed and when I listen to Republicans there are healf truths and downright lies, yes both sides carry some balme but by and far it is the Republicans. If this was reversed I gaurantee you it would be the Republicans blaming the Democrats

psalms 91, just because you think something is a lie, doesn't mean it is a lie. You need to be careful about your bias, cause it could cause you to dismiss the truth in favor of a lie that supports your bias.

Also to answer your question, if I was presented with evidence that showed Republicans were in the wrong (if the situation was reversed as you are presenting a hypothetical), and the evidence checked out, I would actually blame the Republicans... I'm aware of my bias and take steps to take into account the possibility that my bias is influencing my thought process.

Ok I will accept that and ask you did Obama get all his program? If he did then I would say it is his fault. Case in point, Obama wanted to tax higher those making over 250,000, did he get that or did he get a half measure? There are facts and then there are facts like the Republicans saying he got his tax increase but in reality he didnt
