The history of hucksters and grifters who have tried to fleece Christ's sheep with stories of the occult, with wild claims of their past involvement with satanism, witchcraft, etc is rampant. To the point that I'd be pretty suspicious of anyone making such claims.

Religious hucksterism is, unfortunately, very common.

I don't know who John Ramirez is, but anyone who makes these sorts of claims makes me raise an eyebrow in skepticism.
