Satan and the fallen angels- WHERE do they exist?

Hello bretheren. As we know from the Bible, Satan, once the angel, Lucifer, was cast out of heaven down to Earth along with many fallen angels he convinced to rise up against God.

Revelation 12:
7)And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
8)But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
9)The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

My question is WHERE are they now? Yes i know they were cast out of heaven and operate in the spirit realm. But why, therefore, do SO MANY Churches and christians often speak as if he and his demons operates FROM hell? Im confused....

Am i right in saying that he hasn't even reached hell yet? The first time Satan reaches hell is on the last day no? Therefore he and all his angels live on Earth?

No wonder you are confused!! The truth is that we don't know where they all are. We don't kno where heaven is, we don't know where hell is, and we don't know how atan operates. Some would have us think that everything bad that happens to us is because of Satan. Others have a more realistic view and think a lot of bad things that happen are the result of our own foolishness, bad judgement or just ordinary old sin!

I would be very careful about taking Rdevelation literally! It wasn;t written as a literal book, it is packed full of analogies, metaphors and coded messages for the comfort of Christians of the 1st and 2nd centuries suffering horrific persecution. Yes, there is a lot in there for us, but it really is not to be taken in a literal fashion.

A lot of theology is a mystery. And it is meant to be like that. I worry about my own journey with Christ, and don't bother about how or where Satan is or isn't, or maybe, perhaps, oerating!

Just because im curious doen't mean im not putting Christ as my primary priority in my life. I believe its's questions such as these that help one have a better understanding of kingdom dynamics in their journey with Christ.

I totally agree no one knows WHERE, geographically, heaven or hell is- thats not even what im asking my friend cos its not important. What is important to me is where Satan was cast down to.

Again, i agree. Revelation was written in code so that the persecutors of Christians at the time wouldn't understand the 'coded' message behind it. Although every Christian would agree it is not ALL in code. Such as that passage i quoted. How many other ways can you read 'cast down to earth'. SURELY that is literal?

satan and demons do not operate from hell. You are correct. Satan won't even be cast into hell untill the Millenial reign of Christ is complete. There are certain angels bound read Jude 6. I believe these are the angels from Gen6

You are right Warren. They are not in Hell; they are here on earth spirit form as you say. I don't know why they are portrayed as operating from Hell. Is this the way they are in Dante's Inferno?
