  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Christ claimed every relationship to the Law of God in Himself, as He died The Law of God in the body of his flesh and soul on the cross.

And you wish you are in God's "eternal sabbath rest 24/7 now". Where did you read of God's "eternal sabbath rest 24/7 now"? Where have you read of ANY, "eternal sabbath rest 24/7 now"? The Scriptures only has "a keeping of the Sabbath Day", that "remains valid for the People of God", NOW, and that is not "the Rest of God" which is Jesus Christ ALONE AND NOT YOUR FEIGNED "eternal sabbath rest 24/7 now".

I am sure you know this but is scared of it; or ashamed; or too advanced for the simplicity of the Word of God.

Both spiritually and physically. (Not as though Jesus ever made that distinction though of course.)

Par for the course how that people have to add their own interpretation to make it fit their other own "futurism" interpretation.

The Kingdom is within us. We don't have to "wait for the future" for nothing. Those who do, miss what IS.

(Tit 1:14) Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

(Luk 17:20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
(Luk 17:21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Blessings to you bro, as you rest in Christ. It sure is sad for those who aren't in His rest, isn't it. You would think they'd take a lesson from those in the wilderness who didn't enter in because of unbelief and hardness of heart. And here they so argue still... so sad

Who are you to decide another has not entered into God's Rest which is Jesus Christ, o almighty one? Playing God makes you feel great, I see. Well, you're no more in Jesus Christ than ANYONE who confesses his Name and believes on Him with his heart and at the same time, has seen the light of QUOTE: "The Sabbath of the LORD God" : "YOUR God" : the God of the believing confessing obeying child of the Father whose "LIFE WITH CHRIST IS HID IN GOD".

No, I don't argue Sunday-worship, it is a moot point and means nothing any more than any other day when men worship. What a silly idea. I worship Jesus every moment of every day as I stated in an earlier post when you started calling me names, as you do here also. What is wrong with you?

I'm not the one who decides anything. Jesus is. He has given me to enter into His rest. If that is a problem for you, then you are the one who is judging.

Frog is my brother, so also are those who are in Christ, for we are in Him, the Lord of Sabbaoth, in the TRUE REST. Listen to frog. He has much of the Word that you need to hear. He is a brother. His fruit is much different than yours, it is obvious as a tree that bears righteous fruit.

Why would people throw rocks at Christians and falsely accuse them and call them Names? We are in Christ's rest, therefore we are a target for you to destroy? That doesn't sound very healthy for you lol. Jesus shall judge between you and me.

By the way, ‘sabbaoth’ means ‘hosts’ – fighting soldiers of the Lord God; not ‘rest’, my dear man. Unlucky surprise for you.

And call God’s idea that “there for the People of God remains a Sabbath Days’ keeping”, “silly”, just shows you what I mean about your sort of devotion and wishful ‘rest’. You haven’t got a clue of either the ‘Rest’ spoken of in Hebrews 4, nor of the “Sabbath Day’s keeping”, obviously, just like you had no idea about the meaning of the word ‘sabbaoth’.
But keep on dreaming in your dream-rest of your own imagination; I won’t wake you out of your sleep.

Anyway, as I was saying, I enjoy the sabbath rest in the day of the Lord 24/7, as is the fulfillment in Christ. The shadow type fulfilled in Christians. Ceased from our own labors, at rest in Christ. Just as He promised As also Hebrews 4 shows. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, and Sabbaoth, and just about everything else out there He is Lord of. He is even Lord over SDA and other law keepers. Yep As we enjoy His rest, we aren't affected by those with the silly notions that it is one day out of the week, as though the law wasn't fulfilled.
May you believe and be in His rest

Yes, we are at rest now and forever in Christ, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The scriptures are clear on this. All Christians know this.

We see rest as not working. But for the ancients a god was at rest when he/she had come to their temple. All was prepared and in place for them to take up their abode.

Genesis (and elsewhere in Scripture) tells us that God had completed hi swork, set up humanity as regents over creation, all was in place and well, and so God now had everything as intended.

When we apply that concept of rest to the passage in Hebrews in then refers to a finished act of salvation whereby we are once again restored into Divine fellowship in his reign here on earth, expressed as 'the kingdom of God'. There is to be a full outworking of that rest when Jesus returns, but that is based on what His life, death and resurrection has already achieved.
