Much better indeed! And we don't have to make excuses why we don't keep the whole Law of Moses.Yes I know very well that you are saying I am willfully sinning and rebelious by not submitting to a defunct covenant and law. It is against the rules here. Why will you not fully accept grace? It is better and much less trouble.
So what I read is you are requiring others to work and go to hell for your convience. Is that charitable or selfish? Where do you get this from the law? How requires anyone to go to hell in the Bible for their self consumption? Does the law requre this of anyone?

Keep offering up the legalism you need to void the law. Makes no difference to me. But if you are demanding the 10Cs affects your salvation, it will be rather warm later. Fact is you do not keep the sabbath as outlined even on the stone tablets. You have seen a full discussion about this more than once as you read these forums. Do I need to prove my statement? It or a similar one by others has never been refuted before. Having them and using them is 2 different stories. The Amish use them in your part of the country. I have personally witnessed this.
On the dog thing you would have to put her up. But you lay no burden on her to guard anything on the sabbath, do you? A guard dog only goes off duty when taken from a post and placed under some kind of restraint. They even work when they sleep. I have 5 dogs that bark at wild life during the night. It is pretty hard to sneak up on a dog. Hey it was not me that did so. It was a full fledged SDA member of 30 plus years who made the statement. It is the same legalism you offer about a machine you use in place of an ass. What you have done is misquote and make false staments about me.

Do you use electricity, gas or water on the sabbath? Why do I have to quote saying you admittedly and wilfully sin (violate) the sabbath to prove a fact? Accepting goods and services on the sabbath even on account (credit) is a violation the 4th as it is written on the stone tablets. You can not require anyone to work on the sabbath according to the stone tablets. Delivery of goods requires work. You may opt for a legalim and say they did not come to your home to do so. But someone is monitoring the delivery facilities and making sure the system works for such a delivery. They even repair the delivery system on the sabbath to insure this very thing as required for their service.Doesn't surprise me that you're reading something I didn't write or imply. That seems to be your method of interpretation.
Nice analogyGrace is mine so no worries there guy. And by your own words will one be judged.
You are the one being legalistic saying that using a car is like using a donkey. And it was only an example.
My dog doesn't work at all. She does what puppies do.
You are just like the law and the enemy of my soul. You can not stay away from condemnation.Grace is mine so no worries there guy. And by your own words will one be judged.
That my fiend is not the point and you know it very well. Nice dodge though.Again, you have to forgive me for not taking the word of someone who doesn't keep the sabbath as a proper measure for how I should keep the sabbath. It's kind of like me giving Michael Phelps swimming lessons.
No I am simply applying the law and am going with the spirit of the law.You are the one being legalistic saying that using a car is like using a donkey. And it was only an example. My dog doesn't work at all. She does what puppies do.
Well bully for you.....Grace is mine so no worries there guy. And by your own words will one be judged.

If your dog is on offical guard duty you sin. Taking advantage of her natural charatistics is sin as well if you are allowing her to perform as a guard dog on the sabbath. You can not take advantage of anything such as a dog on the sabbath without violating the 4th.

The only electricity available to the OC Hebrew Israelites [and heathens], was lightningYou know it's really sad to see you attribute use of electricity and water to sin, but hey, whatcha gonna do right?
Now I did not do that. One can be what they call off grid and use electricity all they want as long as they do not use it to work for them such as refigeration, AC and lights. What you can not do according to the law is require someone else to work making that for you on the sabbath. You know it's really sad to see you attribute use of electricity and water to sin, but hey, whatcha gonna do right?
Yep just like the above statement. The blue is an unjustified accusation. Once again it is the opening remarks you provide for us and a direct accusation against me.I've not said a word of condemnation. And the law is the enemy of your soul? Really? I wonder why you hate it and how David was able to rejoice in it. Curiouser and Curiouser
What does the Scripture say on this matter? Pleas look up my word with a cut and paste of it to google, bing or whatever you have on your puter. Details make a difference. It very much is the point? And I'm a fiend? I guess that's just as good as calling me "friend" without actually considering me to be one.
Really? That is not the way you presented her. Are you using her as a guard dog? And are you taking advantage of her natural instincts on the sabbath, thus causing her to work. Shut her up in the back bedroom or something. Then she will not bark at the opening of the front door. It is your duty to prevent and not facilitate this according to the law.I don't believe how far you're running with this exampleMy puppy doesn't guard anything. I was just making a point that IF she did, Sabbath would be her day off.

On can have a cistern or resivour of water and not require the pumping, treatment by someone else and have it delivered at will on the sabbath.
What ya gonna do? I say you can observe the law if you demand its observance.

The Jews keep the sabbath and what good has it done them
Ezekiel 22:8 My holy things thou hast despised, and My sabbaths thou hast polluted.
Non-Christian Jews of today do not believe Jesus was their Savior/Redeemer. If they did, they might view the sabbath differently under the NC Jesus brought to themSome Jews, not all, have lost focus on the Savior, thus keeping the sabbath does nothing for them.
I use electricity, my car, and my heat. Something tells me that God doesn't want me to freeze during the sabbath hours. And walking to church would be more of a job than driving. It wasn't God that decided how far one could walk on the sabbath. That was man's doing.
My car isn't alive. It doesn't need rest lol. I do find it quite odd how those who don't keep the sabbath try to pull down those of us who do by stating how we aren't "keeping it" either, according to the customs of men that Christ did away with.
