  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi

Things are going good here. The weather hasn't been great though. It's either rained or snowed every day this year. The sun did come out today though and I saw it for the first time since late last year.

When did your mom come to Iceland? I hope she enjoyed her stay here.

It was a few years ago. She visited the city and saw the hot springs and stuff. I have some tees from there. She was showing some photos and I saw Hard Rock Cafe in one photo asked where is my Hard Rock Cafe tee?

It was a good visit! You all are sitting on a plate one of the reasons that the area is Geological active

That's right. Two plates actually. We're on the border between the North American and European plates.

There used to be a Hard Rock but they closed it. Not enough people were going there I guess. I only went there a couple of times. It had a half a car sticking out of the wall above the door.

We had half a car sticking through the wall at the store where I work a couple years ago! Poor old feller got his gas pedal and his brake pedal mixed up!!! Made quite a mess, too!!
