  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I have heard of him from a friend who lives near him and has had bible studies with him and thinks highly of him. However, I dont actually have any real information as to his beliefs other than he is a converter priest and now is reformed baptist.
Where did you hear him? Wht were your thoughts about what you heard? I'd be most interested to know as you seem to be quite well grounded in the faith!
Blessings,

I heard him at a local United Methodist Church (they are Calvinistic and were holding Reformation meetings in honor of the Reformation). Although his speaking style/voice was extremely dry (not animated), he was very interesting. The great thing was that he actually reads from different influential RC writings (so that they can't argue with his claims) and then shows from the Bible why/how they are false. I really enjoyed hearing him.

Last night, my parents and I went to hear Richard Bennett, a former RC priest speak. I was amazed at some of the stuff that he presented. Have any of you heard of him?

A fellow Scottish buddy of mine is a personal friend of his. What does that mean? I guess nothing whatsoever other than I've heard of him and a fellow Scot won't shut up about him.
