Reputable Program?

I am not too familiar with Christian counseling programs. In my brief Internet search just now, I was able to find three different Christian counseling organizations:

AAPC: American Association of Pastoral Counselors http://www.aapc.org

NCCA: National Christian Counselors Association http://www.ncca.org/

AACC: American Association of Christian Counselors http://www.aacc.net

Which lists those plus provides a little more information. From their sites alone, it's hard to say which of these is the most "legit". I can't really tell by looking at them. The AACC is associated with Wheaton and Regent, two top Christian colleges. Not sure about the others.

Probably a good thing to do is talk to any Christian counselors that you know, ask where they trained, and which is "the best" accreditation body. (Usually, there is one in particular that is seen as the #1, although Christian counseling is probably less steadfast and regulated than some other programs.) So yea, I'd say you should try to talk to Christian counselors that you know, or find some in your area and ask them.
