  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sadly, I got some bad news about an hour after I posted this. My uncle died this morning. I have been bummed out most of the day. He was my favorite uncle and I am very sad he is gone.

Had a nice day at work - busy, but not overwhelming

Slept well last night - and my back feels much better today (maybe being tired aggravated things)

The sun is shining and even the prospect of a snowstorm tomorrow isn't upsetting me

All in all just a wonderful day

oh - and I have lots of reps to hand out (since I didn't get to them yesterday).

I have to admit - while I'm sad I didn't give them out yesterday, I'm really happy to have them available earlier rather than later

so off to rep my brothers and sisters

Oh, if anyone is over 50, the Golden Eagles have a spring style show and everyone is dressing springy. Its really cute and a lot of the folks are participating. I'm glad to see the Eagles having fun (especially since I'm a tad over 50 myself ).
