Yes. I was still in LP mode but my brother had boxfuls of tapes.

Remember when Casey Casem used to do the Top 40, I think it was, or Top 20..........that's going back quite a while, about 30 years ago now.

No, I don't remember those, I'm afraid.

How about those little portable cassette players? I remember being so pleased when I bought my first one for $30 while on holiday in Fiji, when I was 14.

yep, still have an 8 track player in the attic and probably some 8 tracks somewhere.. who knows if they'll work any more.. who cares.. probably have them all on CD anyway.

I vaguely remember seeing a big reel thing at the movies when I was a kid.

How about the ice cream girls who would go round at Intermission? Now everyone here has to go and queue up at the shop counter for ages to get their ice cream.

Same here. Actually, when I was a kid we liked when my Dad's brother would visit us. He would look at us, hear our noisy chatter and say, "Who wants to go to the pictures?" Cash would exchange hands and off we'd go, on foot like you!

Remember running boards on cars? My parents had a car when I was about 7 which had them and I was allowed to stand on them as Dad drove down the driveway. Used to thrill me to bits!!
